Priceless: John Kerry Says McCain Lacks Judgment to be President … What About Vice President … I Was for John McCain Before I was Against Him

Posted in: Barack Obama,Bizarre,Media,Politics,Presidential Election 2008,WTF

How Fickle and phony could John Kerry, Democrats and the media possibly be? John Kerry flip flops yet again and this time he is not even running for office … In the immortal words of John Kerry … I was for John McCain before I was against him.

Massachusetts Senator and former 2004 Democrat John Kerry now says that John McCain lacks the judgment to be President. Democrats and former Presidential candidate Kerry seem to have a very selective memory. It was just 4 short years ago that Kerry and the Dems courted John McCain to be VP for the Democratic ticket. What changed … its was not John McCain as Kerry now tries to spin.

Kerry had no kind words his Senate colleague Sunday, accusing McCain of poor decision-making on everything from backing tax cuts for the wealthy to making support for continuing the U.S. military presence in Iraq the centerpiece of his presidential campaign.

“John McCain … has proven that he has been wrong about every judgment he’s made about the war. Wrong about the Iraqis paying for the reconstruction, wrong about whether or not the oil would pay for it, wrong about Sunni and Shia violence through the years, wrong about the willingness of the Iraqis to stand up for themselves,” Kerry, who supports Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, said on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”

The fallacy that is John Kerry, aka Mr. Irrelevant is that Kerry courted John McCain in 2004 to be his Vice Presidential running mate against GWB. How fickle is politics, the media and Democrats? What a difference 4 years makes. John McCain has gone from Maverick and media darling for his stance against the Republican party to public enemy #1.

McCain is now the target of vicious attacks of his politics and military career. The love-fest with McCain is over and its about time the Republican candidate realizes the past comments and clippings were a rouse. Did he change as a politician? No, as Ed Driscoll states, “McCain has built his famous “Maverick” reputation by building bridges across the aisle, to the point where numerous conservatives wonder which party McCain owes his allegiance to.” J

John McCain’s only change is that he became a threat to the Democratic party rather than an ally. How dare John McCain actually call Obama out on his shift in Iraq policy. Obama ran an won in the liberal Democratic primaries on an immediate withdrawal policy.

Sen. John McCain’s campaign said Sunday that Barack Obama’s remarks on Iraq “have left a significant question as to exactly what he intends.”

“He has held almost every conceivable position in the course of his relatively brief career in the Senate,” said Randy Scheunemann, McCain’s foreign policy adviser.

“The position of [McCain's] campaign is that words do matter, and Sen. Obama’s words have left a significant question as to exactly what he intends. If he is now joining Sen. McCain’s position and saying that the need to maintain peace and stability in Iraq is a prerequisite before responsible withdrawal, which is Sen. McCain’s position, we welcome his conversion to that position,” Scheunemann said Sunday in a conference call with reporters.
