Clinton Eastwood Tells Spike Lee … Do You Feel Lucky Punk … Make My Day and Shut Your Face!!!

Posted in: Bizarre,Celebrity,Media,Military

Wow, Clint Eastwood tells Spike Lee that “Flags of our Fathers” was not a Dirty_harrycommercial for an equal opportunity player. Hey Spike, this time you bit off more than you can handle. You should never mess with Smith, Wessen and Clint.

It does not get any better than Clint Eastwood speaking the truth and letting Spike Lee have it. I am not sure if Spike Lee wants to upset Clint Eastwood of “Dirty Harry” fame. We all remember that Inspector Harold Francis “Dirty Harry” Callahan did not have much tolerance doe BS.  So Spike, you’ve got to ask yourself one question, Do you feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?  Clint Eastwood ripped into Spike Lee  and tells him to “shut his face” regarding comments that Spike Lee made pertaining to Eastwood’s “Flags of our Fathers”.

The “he” is Spike Lee, and the reason Eastwood is asking is because of something Lee had said about Eastwood’s Iwo Jima movie Flags of Our Fathers, while promoting his own war movie, Miracle at St Anna, about a black US unit in the second world war. Lee had noted the lack of African-Americans in Eastwood’s movie and told reporters: “That was his version. The negro version did not exist.”

Its about time that someone put Spike Lee in his place. It might as well be Dirty Harry. You know that Clint wields a lot of power in Hollywood when he is able to go on a ti-raid like he did on Spike Lee and live to tell about it. That is … not be called a racist by the industry,

Lee shouldn’t be demanding African-Americans in Eastwood’s next picture, either. Changeling is set in Los Angeles during the Depression, before the city’s make-up was changed by the large black influx. “What are you going to do, you gonna tell a fu%#ing story about that?” he growls. “Make it look like a commercial for an equal opportunity player? I’m not in that game. I’m playing it the way I read it historically, and that’s the way it is. When I do a picture and it’s 90% black, like Bird, I use 90% black people.”

Eastwood hits back at Lee claims

At this year’s Cannes Film Festival, film-maker Lee challenged reporters to ask Eastwood why there were no black actors in either of his films about the Battle of Iwo Jima. “That was his version. The Negro version did not exist,” said Lee.
