14 Year Old Margarita Chaparro Missing Since 8/29/13 in Hollister, CA … Believed to be With 42 Year Old Jose Carlos Arellano

14 year old Margarita Chaparro has been missing since Thursday, August 29, 2013 in Hollister, California.  Family members reported Magarita Chaparro missing to the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office at noon Thursday. She was last seen at 8 a.m. outside her residence. The police believe she is endangered and in the company of 42 year old Carlos Arellano.

PERSON OF INEREST: 45-Year-old Jose C. Arrellano. He is described as a Hispanic male, 5-foot-10, light skin with a medium build.

VEHICLE:: A late model Chevy 4 door truck, light gray in color and described as a Texas Edition model with the license plate 77106H1.

The Hollister Police Department has notified U.S. Customs and Border Patrol and the California Highway Patrol. An Endangered Missing Person Advisory has been sent out to all agencies throughout the state by the CHP-Emergency Notification and Tactical Alert Center in Sacramento.

Arellano is reportedly a family friend who was seen with Chaparro recently, according to police, who say all attempts to contact Arellano have been unsuccessful.

Chaparro is described as a Hispanic female, 14 years old, 5’2”, 115 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, last seen wearing a light blue blouse and light blue ripped jeans with black-and-white low-top Converse shoes.

Arellano is described as a Hispanic male, 5’10”, light skin, with a medium build.

UPDATE I: Family: Person of Interest Was Acting Inappropriately Towards Missing Hollister Teen.

The family of the missing Hollister 14-year-old says that they warned the person of interest to stay away. Police are looking for 42-year-old Jose C. Arrellano as a person of interest in this case, but have not named him as a suspect yet.

Arrellano is an acquaintance of the family and was recently seen with Margarita Chaparro. According to the family, Arrellano was acting Inappropriately towards the 14-year-old and even sent her flowers on her birthday. “I’m scared he might have sold her. He might have killed her, He might have taken her into prostitution,” said the victim’s sister Emy Rodriguez.
