Second OJ Simpson Co-Defendant Walter Alexander to Plead Guilty to Armed Robbery

Posted in: Crime,O J Simpson

The Juice is about to be squeezed … sometimes justice just takes longer than OJ_Juice_Squeezeexpected. First it was co-defendant Charles H. Cashmore who was to plead guilty. Now it’s Walter Alexander who will also plead guilty to one felony charge in the OJ Simpson “Viva Las Vegas”  armed robbery. Who would ever have thought that justice would have been brought against OJ Simpson in this manner. As co-defendants seek deal and trade up to the big fish, OJ Simpson, some think that the co-defendants past may be a hindrance to the prosecution. One thing is for certain, water seeks its own level and OJ had no issue being in these people’s presence. If one wants to talk about anyone’s past, it might be that of OJ’s. The “Juice” is about to be squeezed.

Two of O.J. Simpson’s co-defendants in an armed robbery case have agreed to testify against him, increasing pressure on the former pro football star and his legal team. Walter Alexander and Charles H. Cashmore had each faced nine felony charges — including kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon — in connection with the alleged theft of about $80,000 in sports memorabilia from two collectors at the Palace Station Hotel & Casino. Alexander and Cashmore each will plead guilty to a single felony count during a hearing scheduled for Oct. 23, their attorneys said Monday. Alexander could face up to six years in prison for conspiracy to commit robbery; Cashmore could face up to five years for an accessory to robbery charge. The men’s attorneys said they would ask for probation. (LA Times)

UPDATE I: Co-Defendant Says O.J. Wanted Armed Men

O.J. Simpson wanted armed men with him when he confronted two sports memorabilia dealers, according to a co-defendant who has agreed to plead guilty and testify against the former football star.

“O.J. said ‘Hey, just bring some firearms,’” Walter Alexander told police, according to a transcript of his tape-recorded statement obtained by The Associated Press.
