Elizabeth Edwards: “We Can’t make John Black, We Can’t Make him a Woman.

Elizabeth Edwards, wife of Democratic Presidential candidate John Edwards made a rather bizarre comment yesterday while discussing the advantages of  web 2.008 campaigning on the internet.

With Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama hogging media coverage, campaigns can push their messages without paying for ads.

“In some ways, it’s the way we have to go,” Edwards says. “We can’t make John black, we can’t make him a woman. Those things get you a lot of press, worth a certain amount of fundraising dollars. Now it’s nice to get on the news, but not the be all and end all.”

Mrs. Edwards, you can’t make him electable either, if he is not. All the lipstick, make up, spinning and cute videos on line are not going to change that fact. When it comes to the internet and videos, John Edwards will forever be known for this.
