Ever Wonder Whats Wrong with the Media? Final Footage of Anna Nicole Smith Sells for Over $500,000

If you ever wondered what is wrong with the media, the paparazzi and some people in general, all one needs to do is read this story. The last moments of Anna Nicole Smiths final footage was sold for over $500,000. What form of human debris would buy let alone sell someone’s death? Her final moments?  Why don’t these cretins just break into the coroners office and take pictures of her deceased? Could these people possibly have some semblance of humanity? But of course these sick voyeurs could not do such a thing. To bad the media feels the need to pay such a price. The reason they do is because there is an audience for it. What a shame.

We are reminded of Steve Irwin’s recent death by a stingray while filming a documentary. Irwin’s death was caught on film as well. However, his family made sure it was never aired and the tape was destroyed. Some things are not meant for us to see or know. Why people care is an entire other debate. Even with people as public as Anna Nicole Smith she is entitled to some privacy, especially in death.

Anna Nicole Smith was a product of the media and to the very end they will exploit this poor woman. She was not perfect, obviously. Honestly, she really deserved no fame. She was famous for being infamous. Maybe this nonsense will end when we, “the collective we” stop putting celebrities on some mythical pedestal. Celebrities, whether they be in music, TV, movies, print … they accomplish and do nothing in life and in return are paid more in a year than any fire-fighter, police officer, teacher, paramedic, soldier in a lifetime.

I think we really have our priorities screwed up and the fact that some bottom feeder photographer can make $500K on a dead person is just wrong. What have we become?
