The Lockerbie Bomber Terrorist Abdelbaset al-Megrahi Dead in Libya … Better Late Than Never

Posted in: Deceased,Libya,Terrorism,War on Terror

Good riddance to bad rubbish … Lockerbie Bomber Terrorist Abdelbaset al-Megrahi won’t be down for breakfast!

According to reports from the BBC, Abdelbaset al-Megrah, the Lockerbie bomber terrorist is dead. Al-Megrahwho was convicted in 2001 in the 1988 Lockerbie terrorist bombing above Scotland, which killed 270 people aboard Pam AM flight 103 . File this one under the category of better late than never. Megrahi was released from prison in August 2009 to go home because of compassionate reasons due to his so-called immanent death due to cancer. That so-called medical condition did not take this killers life until 2012. The Libyan terrorist survived for almost three years after a doctor said he had only months to live and he was released on “compassionate” grounds from a Scottish prison. Good riddance.

Megrahi, 59, was convicted by a special court in the Netherlands in 2001.

He was released from prison in Scotland in 2009 on compassionate grounds. He was suffering from cancer and was said to have only months to live.

When he returned to the Libyan capital, he received a hero’s welcome.

His brother Abdulhakim said on Sunday that Megrahi’s health had deteriorated quickly and he died at home in Tripoli.

He told the AFP news agency that Megrahi died at 13:00 local time (11:00 GMT).

Sadly, this terrorist was allowed to go home and die at home with his family on compassionate reasons. How sick. The compassion was that this killer was allowed to have life in prison and not stoned to death. This was a sick and sad betrayal of the British and US governments of the American people to allow this killer to be released. Our government acted so surprised when this terrorist was released, yet we would learn they (Obama) knew all along what was going on. How sick and disingenuous.  Sorry for the harshness but this story hits home on a personal level.  One of my suite-mates from college lost a very close girl friend in this hideous and cowardice act of terrorism.
