Another Misleading MSM George Zimmerman 9-11 Call Edit Costs a NBC News Employee Her Job Reporting on the Trayvon Martin Death

EDITGATE … Lilia Luciano, a Miami-based NBC News correspondent is the latest to lose her job in the NBC MSM George Zimmerman 911 call editing scandal in the covering of the death of Trayvon Martin. Yet more selective editing to shape the story for their own narrative.

Lilia Luciano, a Miami-based NBC News correspondent, is no longer working for the network, TVNewser has learned.

Luciano last reported for NBC News March 31. Until that point, she had been reporting mainly on the Trayvon Martin story. Sources tell TVNewser Luciano’s dismissal came after an investigation which also led to the firing of a seasoned NBC News producer over a similar, misleading edit. In a story for the “Today” show on March 20, Luciano used part of the George Zimmerman 911 call in which an entire phrase (italicized below) was taken from a later part of the conversation:

Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good or on drugs or something. He’s got his hand in his waistband. And he’s a black male.
Dispatcher: Are you following him?
Zimmerman: Yeah.
Dispatcher: Okay, we don’t need you to do that.

As stated by Brent Bozell does any one think that the three low level firings by NBC are an acceptable answer to what NBC did in out right falsely reporting on this case and purposely editing to misrepresent the facts?

NBC has now fired three people from two different offices over at least two different edits of George Zimmerman’s now infamous 9-1-1 call prior to the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. Both edits were clearly designed to portray Zimmerman as a racist while raising tensions in an already volatile situation.  This latest firing from NBC once again goes unexplained.  NBC’s actions vindicate the Media Research Center’s original point that NBC’s two-sentence (non)apology was an insult, and that this is a network out of control.

The truth has been withheld from NBC’s own viewers now for more than one month.  Do the network executives at NBC think that this is acceptable? What about the board and shareholders of Comcast?  Is it acceptable for a news organization to consciously and constantly lie to its viewers?
