Posted in: Aruba,Crime,Joran Van der Sloot,Media,Missing Persons,Natalee Holloway,World

It is apparent that Investigative Crime reporter Peter R. de Vries feels that the case of missingPeterdeVries Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway is one of  lies, conflicts of interest and highly sensitive police information. It is also apparent who he is focusing on.

Today at 3:00 PM EDT, 9:00 PM in The Netherlands, Peter R. de Vries will be airing a show regarding the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba. After 18 months of a less than stellar performance by Aruban officials and investigators in Aruba in handling the Natalee Holloway case, Dutch investigative reporter Peter de Vries is taking on the case.  De Vries will be looking at all aspects of the case, existing evidence, primary suspects, statements and all the elements that the ALE and prosecutors should have paid attention to.

Peter R de Vries has a long history of investigative reporting in The Netherlands. He is revered by many and now feared by those who do not wish the truth to come forward. The promo (translated) from Peter R de Vries web site.

In an extra long program of almost 80 minutes, Peter de Vries pays extended attention on Sunday to the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba, at the end of May 2005. He shows us alot of aspects of this mystery. De Vries investigated in the Netherlands and was recently in Aruba for a week researching.  Peter R. de Vries has spoken with several people concerning the case.

Discussions have been conducted with a number of people confidentially and sometimes in secret, which have produced 6 new revealing facts according to SBS. In the program, it is shown that main suspect Joran van der Sloot has not only lied about the fact that he dropped Natalee off at the Holiday Inn hotel, but that there are more points in his declaration that are not correct.

Also, in the investigation of the disappearance, it has come to light the importance of a battle at the justice level between the chief public prosecutor and the Procurator-Natalee HollowayGeneral on Aruba, a violent conflict concerning the matter. Also it is indicated that during the investigation, remarkable decisions were made and things gone wrong. The police force has meanwhile a new theory concerning what happened that night and particularly where it took place. One for example no longer believes that Joran left Natalee behind on the beach. Peter R. de Vries, crime report is Sunday 21.00 see at SBS 6.

  • JORAN VAN DER SLOOT, CHIEF SUSPECT IN NATALEE HOLLOWAY DISAPPEARANCE: I told him, you know, The girl’s still on the beach and, you know, she wanted me to stay there with her. And it’s — you know, I want to go — I want to go home. What do you do? And he reacted, like, you know, OK, yes, (DELETED) let’s go, you know? Let’s go fast. (Fox News)

Joran, we told you back on July 21, 2006 not to get too comfortable and that you were still a suspect. You and yours just did not want to listen.  It appears something may still be on your back.

Peter de Vries had commented in an article published in Diario when he was in Aruba investigating the missing Natalee Holloway’s:

Peter de Vries has this program for 12 years, and has a lot of success in solving cases in the Netherlands and other countries, told DIARIO that they will continue to investigate Natalee’s disappearance seriously. So everybody can have a view on what really happened.

In the interview with de Vries, it is apparent that he does not think that the girl is still alive and if she disappeared, she did not plan it. (Diario)

Some have stated “they were inclined to believe” Joran Van der Sloot, investigative reporter Peter de Vries does not follow that same train of thought.

It is the week of the dead girls. Peter R. de Vries airs this Sunday night (SBS6, 21.00 hrs)a 80 minute special on the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.

When I read the press report, I think that the VDS family, and Joran in particular will not be happy with the program: I get the impression De Vries sees him more like a suspect than I thought thus far. (Misdaad journalist, Hat Tip: Mitral Valve)

This may be a very uncomfortable view for the Van der Sloot family and all those who once proclaimed Peter de Vries as a great investigative reporter. That is before they learned that de Vries would get involved, do his job and point the finger.
