Seems That Aruba is Asking For Advice … Too bad they Don’t Want to Listen to the Truth

Aruba’s tourism is continually down as compared to other competing islands. The rest of the Caribbean is up double digits in pretty much every case.

“The facts are clear: we are down, way down, compared to other competing islands.” AHATA

THE BIG QUESTION IS WHY? ARE YOU JOKING?

So Aruba wants answers … Can they handle what they will hear?

You would dare ask why? Maybe that’s why your tourism is down the drain. You continue to insult people’s intelligence asking why Aruba has suffered a tourism plight. I think Aruba Denial Arubaknows exactly why, Aruba is just unwilling to say it, rectify it, or acknowledge it. Aruba has stuck its head in its own beaches white sand for so long, that after 18 months since Natalee Holloway went missing you wonder why your tourism is nonexistent.

Do you not want to admit the truth? Do you live in a world of denial? Or are the people responsible for tourism that ignorant? Do you really want advice? Maybe you should listen to those who know rather than those that tell you what you want to hear.

From the very beginning when Natalee Holloway went missing, Scared Monkeys made the following comment, This Can’t Be Good For Tourism, Where’s Natalee Holloway. From the very beginning we were very honest and up front as to what would occur if Aruban officials were not sincere in their investigation. We told the good people of Aruba what would occur if the made the investigation a farce and put tourism over an investigation. We even told Aruba Tour for DumArubans and their voters that the most important issue during their elections was Natalee Holloway. Pridefully, they stated it was not. Instead, Aruba lived in a world of denial that this all would blow over. Americans would forget. They would come flocking back. Could Aruba have been any more wrong? Looking back in hindsight Aruba at your tourism and economy, do you think now that Natalee Holloway was not the most important issue? The downfall of your tourism and economy can be traced back to that one event.

Jamaica is up 17.7% year to date as compared to Aruba at a negative 10.3%. A difference of 28%. Even though the average tourist knows that Jamaica has more crime on it. The ATA scratches their heads and wonder how this is possible. Hint… Jamaica never boasted it was safe.

Aruba’s image for safety and hospitality has not recovered since last summer. Thus, the obvious question is: what specific actions has the ATA initiated to bring Aruba back on track …

The fact of the matter is that tourists feel betrayed by Aruba and its marketing claiming that its Excelsiorsafe when they have found out during the Natalee Holloway investigation that other woman had been attacked and gone unreported. However, the most important thing is that Aruba has showed all future tourists know that if they for some reason a crime is committed against them … it will not be investigated in an competent or sincere manner. You allowed under-age Arubans to gamble at will in your establishments even though your tourism propaganda states otherwise.

Aruba: No one under 18 years old is allowed in casinos.

You also allowed under age Arubans to drink in the bars where American tourists frequent. You thought nothing of why 3 boys would go to a bar 1/2 hour prior to closing to prey on high school girls on their last night of a vacation. But then again as Joran Van der Sloot stated, “we had done it 20 times before”. In both cases, neither Carlos N’ Charlies nor The Excesior were ever charged with anything for allowing such events to take place. You really wonder why tourists are not coming to Aruba?

Aruba … a teenage girl is missing and went missing while on your island. You did nothing but cover up the crime. Dutch law is so concerned with hard evidence like a confession or DNA, yet the 3 main suspects were not immediately arrested, their property confiscated or their last known clothes taken. Aruba, you can do all the marketing you want, it will fail. Most Americans are disgusted that such a poor effort with no sincerity was made.

Going through the motions is not an investigation make. Most people see that and realize thats what took place. You sided with the three suspects and now how to pay the piper. Tourists have the right to make up their own minds how to punish Aruba for the three ring circus, you called an investigation. Satish_joran_depak_200182

A tourist island operates in the court of public opinion. You could have properly investigated, interrogated and prosecuted. Instead you played small island nepotism politics. Small minded thinking for those that wished to have outside people come to their island and spend money. By the way, you do not treat the family of a missing person, who is a victim in their own right as you did either. The whole world saw how you cruelly strung this family along under the guise of an investigation on an emotional roller coaster ride. You still wonder why your tourism is in the “where are they now files?”

We were up front with Arubans, officials, media from the outset as to the consequences. You chose not to listen as you knew better. What do you think now? Feel free to contact us, our email is not that hard to find for answers to your problems. If you really want to hear the truth. However, the answer to Aruba’s problems is rather simple … “Justice for Natalee”.

We have stated for quite some time, “What’s good for the Van der Sloots is terrible for Aruba.” What do you think now Aruba?
