Award winning journalist Ed Bradley has passed away at the age of 65. Bradley passed away from complications to leukemia at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC. So many of us grew up with Ed Bradley watching 60 Minutes. He was truly a fine journalist and man. What makes someone a truly amazing person and able to reach the level that Ed Bradley was able to attain? An inner belief and drive with core values

Mary Alice Williams, a writer for the CBS Evening News, said: “He was such an elegant person and a great reporter. He was also my friend. We are so lucky to have known him. He raised the bar for all of us.”

“He certainly was a reporter’s reporter,” fellow 60 Minutes correspondent Mike Wallace told CBS News Radio.

Katie Couric said Bradley was “considered intelligent, smooth, cool, a great reporter, beloved and respected by all his colleagues here at CBS News.”
