SCARED MONKEYS WISHES EVERYONE A HAPPY 2012 NEW YEAR …

We wish every one a Happy, Safe and Joyous 2012. We look back over the past year and remember it with fondness as we look to the future and the new year. we say goodbye to special friends and look forward to meeting new ones.

I want to take a moment to thank all the readers, listeners and commenters of Scared Monkeys.com, Scared Monkeys forum, Blink on Crime, Scared Monkeys Radio and MissingExploited.com.  You have all made it a very truly memorable year, there has been heart ache and joy.  A special thanks to all the moderators and admins who devote their time and the folks that send in the stories and those on the front page and forums who comment.  Wising you all the best in 2012. God Bless!

Lets celebrate 2012 with a blast from the past. Before there was Ryan Seacrest and even before there was Dick Clark’s Rocking Eve, there there was Guy Lombardo and his his Royal Canadians who started it all in 1929. From 1977 comes the classic video below … How great are the retro graphics and special effects!

Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and days of auld lang syne?
For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we’ll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and days of auld lang syne?
And here’s a hand, my trusty friend
And gie’s a hand o’ thine
We’ll tak’ a cup o’ kindness yet
For auld lang syne.

Not to be outdone. let’s reminisce and watch all of the Time Square New Years Eve Ball drop from 1976 to 2011.  Do you remember where you were? My how it has changed over the years. especially check out the celebrations of 2000 and 2002, with all the craze of Y2K and the first post 9-11 New Year Eve, respectively.
