Think Crimes are all that Different? Compare and Contrast Circumstances … Amazing what a Real Investigation Gets You.

Posted in: Crime,Missing Persons

Over time so many crimes that are committed have such similar circumstances that they can fit into certain categories of MO’s. Such is the case of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. The crimes against Natalee Holloway in Aruba are not all that different from that of the recent murder of Michelle Gardner-Quinn, the UVM senior found murdered last week.

When one compares and contrasts the two suspects and the circumstantial evidence that exits, seem to look rather familiar don’t they? Then comes the breaking news below from the police investigating the death of Michelle Gardner-Quinn. It is really quite interesting how easy an investigation becomes when those charged with the investigation are competent, don’t wait 10 days to search people’s property and want to solve a crime vs. protect tourism. Quite amazing things happen when investigators actually want to get to the truth when, “something bad happens”.

The breaking news in the Michelle Gardner-Quinn murder is that there appears to be a DNA match and a connection of Brian Rooney through blood on his pants.

DNA from a blood sample taken from the pants of the prime suspect in the disappearance of University of Vermont student Michelle Gardner-Quinn has been found to match hers, The Associated Press has learned.

The blood was found on the blue jeans of Brian L. Rooney, 36, giving police at least one piece of physical evidence allegedly linking the man they call their prime suspect to the Oct. 7 disappearance of Gardner-Quinn. (Burlington Free Press)
