What a Disgrace … Jesse Jackson Compares Occupy Atlanta Protest With Civil Rights Struggle

WHAT A SLAP IN THE FACE TO BLACKS AND THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT OF THE 1960′s …

Could Jesse Jackson possible trivialize the Civil Rights movement any more than by comparing it to the Occupy “name your city” protests? How on Earth does some one like Jackson compare something as important in American history like the Civil Rights movement to bottom feeders like those of the Occupy protesters? Jackson should be ashamed of himself and apologize to the black community.

If Jesse Jackson understands the Occupy message, maybe he can translate what the woman said below?

YIKES – MUST SEE VIDEO, THIS IS WHAT THEY CALL REPRESENTING THE 99%?

The Rev. Jesse Jackson is lending his support to the Occupy Atlanta movement and says that their efforts are an extension of the struggle for civil rights fought by Jackson, the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and others.

Jackson visited the Occupy protesters at a homeless shelter that has become their base of operations since Atlanta police forcibly removed them from a downtown park last week. Jackson urged those gathered to keep up the fight and to focus their anger on the economic and social disparities, rather than City Hall.

The Occupy protests are an extension of Martin Luther King’s work, REALLY? The Reverend Jackson said that the protests remind him of the Civil Rights movement. Hmm, did the Civil Rights protests race and sexually assault women? Did they run to the health clinics to treat STD’s and and get HIV tests?  I guess Jackson remembers the public masturbation that took place during the Civil Rights protests. Sadly, Jackson’s comments are a disgrace and a slap in the face of those who fought for and marched for Civil Rights in America.  Jackson said that he understands the Occupy protesters objective. If he really does, he is the only one who does, as the individuals at the protests do not even know what their objective is.

“It’s a definition is a quest for an even playing field,” said Jackson. “It’s a quest for economic justice. It’s a quest for shared economic security.”

Jackson called the Occupy movement an extension of the civil rights movement he helped lead with Dr. King.

“It reminds me so much of Dr. King’s last effort on Earth,” said Jackson. “His last effort was a poor peoples’ campaign.”
