20 Arrested at Occupy Denver as Protesters Clash with Police

Posted in: Arrest,Assault,Crime,Occupy Protests,You Tube - VIDEO

Remember when Tea Party members tried to knock police off their motorcycles and got into clashes with police that wound up in violence? No, I can’t say I do either.

Violence erupted at the Barack Obama endorsed Occupy Denver protest as 20 individuals were arrested as the protesters clashed with law enforcement. Denver police fired pepper spray and pepper balls at a crowd of protesters in Civic Center. Denver police spokesman Matt Murray said that most of the protesters were peaceful but there was “just a die-hard group that didn’t want to cooperate. We showed great restraint,” he said. “We were calm. We went in and did what we had to do. There’s a group of very committed people who believe in a cause, and then there are a few people who just want to cause trouble.”

In the most violent Saturday in more than a month of Occupy Denver demonstrations and marches, Denver police fired pepper spray and pepper balls at a crowd of protesters in Civic Center and arrested 20 people.

Two of the protesters were held for felony charges after police said an officer was knocked off his motorcycle and other officers were kicked, as they moved into the park to tear down illegal tents.

See VIDEO below where an Occupy Denver trouble-maker tries to push over a police motorcycle as it goes by. If you do not think such an action is going to get you arrested and a pepper-spraying, you “Occupy” freaks are sorely mistaken. Since when do you think you have the right to harm law enforcement?

The MSM will never again be able to demonize the Tea Party and their respectful and peaceful demonstrations after the despicable actions of the Occupy “name the city” protesters.
