UNREAL, The Walt Disney Company Wants to Profit from the Bravery of US Navy Seals who Killed Bin Laden by Trademarking “Seal Team 6”

Walt Disney should be rolling over in his grave … and be ashamed of what his company has become.

It would appear that it is not just President Barack Obama who wants to “spike the football” of the heroics of the US Navy Seal Team 6, but now the Walt Disney Company wants to profit from the actions of these heroes and trademark “Seal Team 6″.  WTF!!! How does some one get to trademark a name that is part of a US Government military name? Seriously, how is not a government entity part of the public domain?

The trademark applications came on May 3rd, two days after the operation that killed Bin Laden… and two days after “Seal Team 6?  was included in thousands of news articles and TV programs focusing on the operation.

Disney’s trademark applications for “Seal Team 6? cover clothing, footwear, headwear, toys, games and “entertainment and education services,” among other things.

It does not get any more sick than this. I am all for capitalism; however, as stated by the Left Coast Liberal, this might be one of the most pathetic forms of crass commercialism I have ever seen.I could not agree more.

I’m sorry, but doesn’t that just strike you as wrong? The fact that they want to merchandise SEAL team logos as if they were mouse ears, is bad enough. But to try to deny anyone else from using what should be part of the public domain, without their permission is just too unbelievable.

So let’s understand this, the actual members and the families of Us Navy Seal Team 6 are afraid for their safety for the heroic efforts these people take in defending the United States of America and these vultures at Disney just successfully trademarked the phrase “SEAL Team 6? for their own use. How wrong could this be?

Of course what else can we expects as previously, the Walt Disney-owned news organization ABC paid $200,000 to Casey Anthony, a mother accuse of murdering her child, and her family for photos and video of toddler Caylee Anthony. If anyone would pay a potential murdering for pics, trademarking Navy Seals is child’s play, so to speak.

In October 2008, two months after the deal, Anthony was charged with first-degree murder in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Marie Anthony.

“It doesn’t make them look very family-friendly, does it?” said Andrew Tyndall, who analyzes ABC, CBS and NBC evening news at his Tyndall Report Web site. “It’s not just ABC News. It’s the entire corporation.”

Tyndall was alluding to the fact ABC News is a subsidiary of Disney.
