Posted in: Aruba,Deepak Kalpoe,Geoffrey van Cromvoirt,Joran Van der Sloot,Natalee Holloway

First Joe Tacopina, Joran Van der Sloot’s attorney, made it an all day event going on pretty much every news show stating that his client had no connection to Geoffrey van Cromvoirt. Then the attorney for Deepak and Satish Kalpoe stated that his clients have no connection to Geoffrey van Cromvoirt. Not to be out done, the family of Geoffrey van Cromvoirt came out today and said that their son had noting to do with the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.

The family of a 19-year-old arrested in the case of missing U.S. teenager Natalie Holloway said he had nothing to do with her disappearance last year.

The family of Geoffrey van Cromvoirt also said in a statement released Wednesday by his lawyers that he is not friends with any of the people previously detained in an investigation that has gathered forced in recent days with new searches and witness interviews.

The van Cromvoirt family released in Dutch by Geoffrey’s lawyer, Eline Lotter Homan, the following statement:

“The family van Cromvoirt distances itself completely from all expressions or statements which bring Geoffrey van Cromvoirt in connection with the disappearance of Natalee Holloway and any statements in which any role is attributed to him in this case.”

Beth Twitty was also asked as to whether Natalee Holloway had ever met Geoffrey van Cromvoirt while she was in Aruba. From all indications, the answer was no.

“Her friends have not given me any indication that Natalee had a meeting with this young man or … (had) a relationship with him,” Holloway’s mother, Beth Twitty, told CNN’s “Larry King Live” on Wednesday.

What ever happened to the concept that Joran’s attorney Joe Tacopina first put forth about a week ago that “every teenager knows every other teenager on the island“?

CLINT VAN ZANDT, MSNBC ANALYST & FORMER FBI PROFILER: Well, it seems to go both ways. You know, we had Joran’s attorney, Joe, tell us about a week ago that every teenager knows every other teenager on the island.

SCARBOROUGH: Exactly.

ZANDT: So, we should just accept that, right? And now, this week, he tells us, but, of all the teenagers on the island, these two guys, Joran van der Sloot and our new suspect—for lack of a better term—now, have no knowledge of each other.
