National Gas Price Average at $3.98 as Obama Continues His Bin Laden Victory Lap

As Barack Obama continues his “Kill Osama” victory lap, this time at Fort Campbell in KY, don’t look now to your poll numbers as unemployment rose to 9.0% and gas prices still rising.

According to AAA, the national price of gas at the pump is now $3.98 and rising. There are presently 13 states where was is $4 or greater in the US.  President Barack Obama’s answer to the escalating gas prices is to say, there is no silver bullet to the problem and then just ignore it. Of course Obama hopes that the killing of Bin Laden will divert Americans attention from gas prices, but that is pretty difficult when it cost $75-100 to fill up a gas tank. 43% of Americans say that the cost of gasoline has impacted their lifestyle, while 44% are in favor of eliminating the federal gas tax, at least for now. Presently, the federal excise tax on gasoline is 18.4 cents per gallon for regular.

If you are on vacation in Maui, Hawaii do not get caught in In the remote town of Hana where the price of gas is the highest in the country at 6.03.

How will Americans feel when the summer is upon us and individuals vacations are affected? Obama’s “silver bullet” comment may come back to bite him because not doing anything or even attempting to try and do anything as gas prices will act as a silver bullet to his Presidential reelection.
