HYPOCRISY: First Lady Michelle Obama on the Slopes of Vail and Chowing Down on Short Ribs

Posted in: Government,Healthcare,Hope and Change,Hypocrisy,Michelle Obama,Nanny State - Big Government,Obamanation

We talked of the sacrifice of the first lady Michelle Obama the other day as she showed she had skin in the game by vacationing in Vail, Co. However, today we are witness to her hypocrisy. As reported at the Vail Daily, First lady Michelle Obama enjoyed locally grown fare of short ribs at a Vail restaurant Saturday night before hitting the slopes of Vail Mountain early Sunday. So much for Michelle Obama’s Healthy Eating Initiative.

Amazing Ribs

The first lady went to Restaurant Kelly Liken in Vail Village on Saturday night, dining on a pickled pumpkin salad with arugula and a braised ancho-chile short rib with hominy wild mushrooms and sauteed kale.

Interestingly enough, the article talks about the vegetables and where they came from; however, they do not seem to reference the ribs in any great detail. However, Jammie Wearing Fool does and the ribs 1500 calories. The hypocrisy of the first lady telling others how to eat, but not following her own advice was not lost on radio conservative host Rush Limbaugh. As reported at CNN, the first lady is quick to tell others what to do, but fails to provide leadership in walking the walk. Doesn’t that sound familiar, I wonder where she got that from?

“The problem is, and dare I say this, it doesn’t look like Michelle Obama follows her own nutritionary, dietary advice,” Limbaugh said Monday on his radio program. “And then we hear that she’s out eating ribs at 1,500 calories a serving with 141 grams of fat per serving.”

“She is a hypocrite,” Limbaugh continued. “Leaders are supposed to be leaders. If we are supposed to go out and eat nothing, if we are supposed to eat roots, berries, and tree bark, show us how.”

One would think that if you are going to have as your cause childhood obesity, one might suspect that one would also be a role model for that cause and provide the perception that you actually do what you are telling others to do. Instead of scarfing cheeseburgers and Super Bowl party fare at every turn and them making excuses.
