News out of Aruba in the case of missing and presumed murdered Natalee Holloway.

A jaw bone has been found on an Aruban beach near the Phoenix hotel close to one of the locations indicated by murder suspect Joran van der Sloot. The Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort is located directly on the white sands of Aruba’s Palm Beach, the very beach where Joran Vander Sloot stated he left Natalee Holloway. The jaw bone has been sent to the NFI forensic institute in The Hague for testing to determine whether it belongs to Natalee Holloway. Could this be the clue that so many have been looking for since 2005 when the Alabama teen Natalee Holloway went missing on Aruba?

Forensic scientists at the NFI forensic institute in The Hague are investigating whether an apparently human jaw bone found on an Aruban beach is that of missing US teenager Natalee Holloway, the Telegraaf reports on Tuesday.

The paper says the bone was found near the Phoenix hotel on the Caribbean island, close to one of the locations indicated by murder suspect Joran van der Sloot.

From the AP, Dutch experts test Aruba bone in Holloway case. According to the Dutch daily De Telegraaf, the jaw bone was found by tourists on a beach last Friday. Although the newspaper reported it was a human lower jaw bone, tests are being done on thebone was still being analyzed to establish whether it was human, DNA tests and checked against dental records as to whether it belongs to Natalee Holloway.

Dutch forensic experts are testing a piece of bone found on the Caribbean island of Aruba to see if it comes from missing American teenager Natalee Holloway, a spokeswoman said Tuesday.

Experts first will establish whether the bone is human before comparing its DNA to that of Holloway, said Netherlands Forensic Institute spokeswoman Inge Oevering.

Natalee Holloway has been missing since 2005 in Aruba when she was last seen leaving Carlos n’ Charlies with Joran Van der Sloot, Deepak Kalpoe and Satish Kalpoe. Although arrested, neither of the three people last seen with Natalee have ever been prosecuted. Presently Joran Van der Sloot sits in a Peruvian prison on charges of the murder of Stephanie Flores.
