Welcome to Obama in Wonderland … Barack Obama Preferred Lockerbie Bomber Abdel Baset al-Megrahi Release Rather Than Libyan Prison

Hey America, how is that “Hopey, Changey” stuff working out for you? Can Obama be trusted on anything they say?

Me think Obama dost protest too much … Remember when candidate Obama promised America “hope & change” and doing things different in DC? Maybe the Obama Administration would like to explain the following from The Australian reporting that the Obama White House backed release of Lockerbie bomber Abdel Baset al-Megrahi. And we were worried whether BP had anything to do with the release?

wtf

THE US government secretly advised Scottish ministers it would be “far preferable” to free the Lockerbie bomber than jail him in Libya.

Correspondence obtained by The Sunday Times reveals the Obama administration considered compassionate release more palatable than locking up Abdel Baset al-Megrahi in a Libyan prison.

The intervention, which has angered US relatives of those who died in the attack, was made by Richard LeBaron, deputy head of the US embassy in London, a week before Megrahiwas freed in August last year on grounds that he had terminal cancer.

The document, acquired by a well-placed US source, threatens to undermine US President Barack Obama’s claim last week that all Americans were “surprised, disappointed and angry” to learn of Megrahi’s release.

Scottish ministers viewed the level of US resistance to compassionate release as “half-hearted” and a sign it would be accepted.

The US has tried to keep the letter secret, refusing to give permission to the Scottish authorities to publish it on the grounds it would prevent future “frank and open communications” with other governments.

Remember when President Barack Hussein Obama claimed he was upset and wanted answers as to how such a thing could take place? Obama criticized our English friends across the pond for the release of Lockerbie bomber Abdel Baset al-Megrahi. I think Obama dost protest to much.

“I think all of us here were surprised, disappointed and angry about the release of the Lockerbie bomber,’ he said.

‘We should have all the facts, they should be laid out there. I have confidence Prime Minister Cameron’s government will be co-operative.

‘The decision ran contrary to how we should be treating terrorists.”

Jammie Wearing Fool asks the question, so what will this news of terrorist compassion by Obama do to his already falling poll ratings? Having a personal association to this tragedy in that one of my college suite mates lost his girl friend who was attending Syracuse University in the terror act, I find in disgusting that there would be more compassion for a terrorist, than the families of the victims.
