Georgia Gas Stations Are Supposed to Close at 4 PM (Corrected)

Posted in: General

Sources close to me they are going to close all Gas Stations in the state of Georgia at 4 PM today.

The gas supply has not been pumped from the gulf coast for the last 2 days, and Atlanta only has a 10 day supply at its very best. Drudge had this report, and the AJC also did an article earlier today, but it is inaccessible right now.

Governor Perdue is due to make an announcement shortly.

UPDATE: It looks like this was not correct, but the governors office is calling for people not to top off their tanks.

Governor Perdue also asked drivers not to “top off” their gas tanks, and avoid purchasing gasoline until their gasoline tanks are low. He encouraged Georgia business owners to conserve gasoline by taking advantage of telework and flexible work schedule options for employees.

Word is that Memphis is experiencing shortages.

Personal Experience. Went out at lunch in Georgia, gas was $2.70 a gallon. Now it is $3.09 a gallon. New Hampshire is reporting $3.30 a gallon.
