8 Arrested in Pakistan in Connection with the Faisal Shahzad Times Square Terrorist Bomb Plot

Posted in: Arrest,Islamofascist,Middle East,US National Security,War on Terror,World

According to this CBS report, eight individuals have been arrested and taken into custody in connection with the attempted NYC Time Square bomb plot.

30 year oldĀ  Faisal Shahzad was arrested last night at JFK International airport in NYC as three people were taken off a flight bound for Dubai. Shahzad was a Pakistan born, US naturalized citizen suspected in the Time Square bombing attempt.

Authorities are not saying who the potential suspects are or where they are being held, but they say there were raids Monday night and Tuesday morning in different locations. It’s believed between four and eight people are being held, and there are reports that some of them may be related to the suspect arrested overnight in New York.

So much for the terrorist Faisal Shahzad acting alone and there not being an international Muslim, Islamic connection to this attempted terror act.

Karachi connection with the investigation of the Times Square bombing attempt. Who will be the first in the MSM to use the adjective Muslim, Islam, Islamofascist, or radical Muslim extremists to describe this terrorist attempt to blow up a bomb and kill innocent individuals in NYC?

UPDATE I: NBC news is reporting that Pakistan authorities have arrested 5 men in connection with the Times Square bomb case. NBC producer Carol Grisanti, reporting on MSNBC from Pakistan, says the five are believed to be “facilitators’ who allegedly worked with Faisal Shahzad, the Pakistani-born U.S. citizen who was arrested at JFK airport Monday night as he prepared to fly to Dubai.

UPDATE II: Attorney General Eric Holder says in a press conference today that Faisal Shahzad is singing like a bird and providing useful information.

UPDATE III: Faisal Shahzad charged with act if terrorism

Attorney General Eric Holder says Times Square car bomb suspect Faisal Shahzad has been charged with an act of terrorism and attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction.

Shahzad, a naturalized U.S. citizen from Pakistan, is under arrest for the failed May 1 bombing. Holder said Shahzad, who has provided “valuable information” to investigators, attempted to carry out a “lethal terrorist attack” aimed at “murdering Americans in one of the busiest places in our country.”

UPDATE IV: “We have picked up a few family members” related to Shahzad, a security official in Karachi said. A friend of Shahzad was also detained.

UPDATE V: So much for acting alone … the Pakistan Connection.
