Pilot (Andrew Stack) Crashes Plane into Austin, TX Building in Suicide Act Angered at the IRS

Posted in: Bizarre,Crime,Deceased,Government,Internet,Taxes,WTF

It started out as a bizarre story of a plane reported crashed into an office building in Austin, TX … then it became even more strange.

Plane Crash Texas

The first thought of many was this an act of terrorism? Was the plane intentionally crashed into the building? Then it became apparent that it was a act be a single individual with an axe to grind with the IRS. 53 year old Joseph Stack, an  software engineer who crashed his single engine Piper Cherokee plane into the federal office building that contains the IRS at the Echelon 1 building in the 9400 block of Research Boulevard.

A pilot furious with the Internal Revenue Service crashed his small plane into an Austin, Texas, office building where nearly 200 federal tax employees work on Thursday, igniting a raging fire that sent massive plumes of thick, black smoke rising from the seven-story structure.

Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo said the incident was a single act by a sole individual, who appeared to be targeting the federal building. He refused to classify it as terrorism.

“I call it a cowardly, criminal act and there was no excuse for it,” Acevedo said at a news conference.

In a bizarre act of going out in a blaze of glory, a disgruntled Andrew Stack posted a 6 page suicide manifesto directed at the government and the IRS declaring that, “I know I’m hardly the first one to decide I have had all I can stand.” His on-line rant was entitled,“Well Mr. Big Brother IRS man… take my pound of flesh and sleep well.”

53 year old Andrew Joseph Stack’s 6 page manifesto can be read HERE. It would appear that Stack just snapped from decades of IRS problems.

As government agencies go, the FAA is often justifiably referred to as a tombstone agency, though they are hardly alone. The recent presidential puppet GW Bush and his cronies in their eight years certainly reinforced for all of us that this criticism rings equally true for all of the government. Nothing changes unless there is a body count (unless it is in the interest of the wealthy sows at the government trough). In a government full of hypocrites from top to bottom, life is as cheap as their lies and their self-serving laws.

I know I’m hardly the first one to decide I have had all I can stand. It has always been a myth that people have stopped dying for their freedom in this country, and it isn’t limited to the blacks, and poor immigrants. I know there have been countless before me and there are sure to be as many after. But I also know that by not adding my body to the count, I insure nothing will change. I choose to not keep looking over my shoulder at “big brother” while he strips my carcass, I choose not to ignore what is going on all around me, I choose not to pretend that business as usual won’t continue; I have just had enough. (snip)

Sadly, there have been two bodies found inside the building where Stack crashed his songle engine plane on his suicide mission. The identities of the two dead people have not been confirmed. Also, two other people who were injured in the incident were taken to a hospital, and 11 others were treated for minor injuries, according to Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo.

The Corner reacts to Stack’s manifesto and what the LEFT will soon be referring to this as the Tea Bag Terrorist; however, Stack does not seem to fit the mode or thinking at all.

UPDATE I: Just when you thought the story could not get any more bizarre, it appears that Joseph Stack set his house on fire prior to his suicide mission with his wife and step daughter still in the home. Folks, some times people are just plain crazy and sadly pushed over their breaking point.

Austin Fire Department confirmed Thursday at 8:20 p.m. that two bodies had been found inside the building, but could not confirm their identities.
