President Barack Obama Back to -17% in Rasmussen Presidential Tacking Poll

That did not take long … President Barack Hussein Obama already back at -17% in the Daily Rasmussen Presidential Tracking poll. The Chosen One just got a lesson in political physics, what goes up from a less than truthful State of the Union speech, must come down when reality sets in.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 26% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-three percent (43%) Strongly Disapprove which gives Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -17 (see trends).

Following the Obama’s SOTU speech on January 27, 2010 his Rasmussen Daily Presidential tacking poll numbers actually went underĀ  negative double digits for the first time since November 14, 2009. Much of that change was due to Democrats changing their position, not Republicans or Independents. However, it did not take long for The Chosen One to have his poll number jump right back to where it was prior to the SOTU.

Is it any wonder why Obama’s poll numbers are back into the the low double digit negatives …

With the 2010 midterm elections just 9 months away, the elections will be a referendum on Barack Obama and with his present poll numbers, that cannot be a good thing for Democrats. Let alone his own reelection bid in 2012.
