Howard Dean Says Kill the Obamacare Bill … Health Care Bill a Compromise to No Where

Posted in: Barack Obama,Bizarre,Healthcare,Obamacare,Obamanation,Politics,Socialism

From Vermont Public Radio, Howard “I have a scream” Dean has caused some major chaos for the passage of Obamacare. Dean basically calls the compromised Obamacare … a compromise to no where.

Dean says the time has come for Senate Democratic leaders to kill the current health care reform bill because it’s no longer worth supporting.

Dean is upset that the Democrats appear willing to weaken a public option provision in the bill in order to secure the vote of Independent Connecticut senator Joe Lieberman.

Howard Dean, former Democrat candidate for President, Democratic National Committee chairman and medical doctor says … “KILL THE BILL”.

“This is essentially the collapse of health care reform in the United States Senate,” Dean said. “Honestly, the best thing to do right now is kill the Senate bill, go back to the House, start the reconciliation process, where you only need 51 votes and it would be a much simpler bill.”

Even the LEFT realizes that this bill is a piece of junk. With all the votes needed to pass such a terrible piece of legislation and all the compromises needed to get 60 votes, everyone, even Howard Dean realizes that Obamacare is junk. So why does Obama and Democrats like Reid and Pelosi continue to push this piece of junk down the throats of Americans, Obama legacy of course. As The Weekly Standard calls it, the Liberals health care revolt.

“This is a bigger bailout for the insurance industry than AIG,” former Democratic National Committee chairman and medical doctor Howard Dean told “Good Morning America’s” George Stephanopoulos today. “A very small number of people are going to get any insurance at all, until 2014, if the bill works.”

“This is an insurance companies’ dream, this bill,” Dean added. “This is the Washington scramble and I think it’s ill-advised.”

Dean sent shockwaves when he said Tuesday in an interview with Vermont Public Radio that the removal of the Medicare buy-in means Democrats should just kill the health care bill and start over.

UPDATE I: Obama’s Press Secretary Gibbs Lashes Back at Howard Dean’s comments

Rut-Roh, now the “lost in smallness” Obama administration is snapping back at their own. This time it is Howard Dean they are attacking. Gibbs attacked Dean and said that he did not know what piece of legislation that Dean was reading. That’s a rather odd comment to make … who does know? John McCain made the comment that even Democrat Senator Durbin had no idea what was in the bill.

Well, there’s so little known that when I was in a discussion with the senator from Illinois, Senator Durbin, he said he didn’t know what was in the bill. And by the way, they just cut one of these really unsavory deals with pharma in order to give pharma a good deal so they’ll support the bill. By the way, pharma — that’s the pharmaceutical industry — has raised drug prices by 9 percent this year — 9 percent people’s prescription drug prices have gone up, while, I mentioned before, the cost of living has gone down 1.3 percent. They are a bad group of people.

Because no one knows what the Obamacare legislation is as there has been no transparency and the deal is being done behind closed doors.

On Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs strongly hit back at former DNC Chairman Howard Dean for criticizing the Senate health care bill, suggesting, at one point, that Dean was being irrational and didn’t understand the contents of the legislation.

“I don’t know what piece of legislation he is reading,” said Gibbs.

“I would ask Dr. Dean, how better do you address those who don’t have insurance: passing a bill that will cover 30 million who don’t currently have it or killing the bill?” he added. “I don’t think any rational person would say killing the bill makes a whole lot of sense at this point.”

Asked if Dean was acting irrationally, Gibbs replied: “I can’t tell what his motives are, to be honest with you.”

So the White House is so desperate that they are attacking their own. This bill is so bad that no one likes it, not even the LEFT. Want to know what happens when you attack your base, the people that you lied to and made political promises to … your approval ratings go to 40% and below.
