French Prime Minister Manuel Valls Declares ‘War’ on Radical Islam After Terror Attacks

France’s Prime Minister Manuel Valls declared Saturday that France was at “war” with radical Islam following the past three days of bloody, violent and heinous attacks. Prime minister Valls said during a speech in Évry, south of Paris, “it is a war against terrorism, against jihadism, against radical Islam, against everything that is aimed at breaking fraternity, freedom, solidarity.” On Sunday, France plans to hold a rally in Paris to express their solidarity following the recent terror attacks, that will include France’s President Francois Hollande and numerous world leaders including German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Great Britain’s David Cameron, Spain’s Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, Italy’s Matteo Renzi, Turkish PM Davutoglu. Even Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas will attend.
Prime Minister Manuel Valls declared Saturday that France was at war with radical Islam after the harrowing sieges that led to the deaths of three gunmen and four hostages the day before. New details emerged about the bloody final confrontations, and security forces remained on high alert.
