CHANGE: Status Quo We Can Believe In … Obama Must be Concerned with his Own Lack of Experience

The Political “Odd Couple” … Can two Democratic men share a Presidential/VP ticket without driving each other crazy? Obama has been prone to gaffes while Biden has a history of them.

Obama’s admission to his lack of experience and his choice of Biden may be the final gaffe that torpedos his candidacy. The Huffington Post can spin all they want and try and put a happy face on Biden as VP … the fact of the matter is that the Obamamessiah is going to find it impossible to tell the left that “Change” is about a 35 year Washington, DC Senator insider when he attacks McCain for being the same.

Status quo you can believe in

Obama / Biden ’08 — What it Says About Barack. The once Democratic candidate of “Change,” Barack Obama has now become the “typical” politician and the candidate of status quo. Obama can effectively erase the words “change” off any of his slogans as his pick for VP shows one glaring blemish on Obama’s campaign. In the end, Obama and his campaign agreed that “the Chosen One” does not have the experience to be President and needed an infusion of credibility and experience.

The candidate of change went with the status quo.

In picking Sen. Joe Biden to be his running mate, Barack Obama sought to shore up his weakness — inexperience in office and on foreign policy — rather than underscore his strength as a new-generation candidate defying political conventions.

He picked a 35-year veteran of the Senate — the ultimate insider — rather than a candidate from outside Washington, such as Govs. Tim Kaine of Virginia or Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas; or from outside his party, such as Sen. Chuck Hagel of Nebraska; or from outside the mostly white male club of vice presidential candidates. Hillary Rodham Clinton didn’t even make his short list.

Stop the ACLU has a great summary of bloggers reactions to Obama’s choice for his Veep running mate. Overwhelming all state that the Biden choice is nothing more than a glaring concern than Obama is not ready for prime time. Obama’s incredible inexperience to hold the Office of the Presidency is causing much concern among voters, the Democratic party and it is evident in the polls.

Its pretty bad when your choice for VP Biden has said some pretty damning things about Obama’s experience and praised John McCain.

I thought that Barack Obama was against lobbyist cash? That same lobbyist cash that his now VP running Joseph Biden make raked in.

Obama may decry lobbyist cash (or at least federal lobbyist cash), but Biden has taken $344,400 from lobbyists since 1997 — making lobbyists the 10th biggest contributing industry.

That seems a direct contradiction of the Obama message.

Obama has been outspoken about contributions from lobbyists, vowing not to accept any contributions from them. Biden doesn’t seem to have quite the same view.
