Cops Arrest 10 Year Old Boy for Bringing Plastic Toy Gun to School in Alexandria, VA … GUYS, IT WAS A TOY!!!

THE OVERRACTION AND STUPIDITY OF OUR SCHOOLS TODAY …WELCOME TO THE IRRATIONAL BACKLASH OF SANDY HOOK.

A 10 year old boy in the 5th grade at Douglas MacArthur Elementary School in Alexandria, Virginia was arrested and charged as a juvenile with brandishing a weapon after he brought a plastic toy gun on a school bus and showed it to others. The unnamed boy was suspended from school and faces possible expulsion. The 10 year old boy was taken into custody, transported to a juvenile detention center for booking and then released to his parents. Really folks, why don’t you give him the death penalty as well while you are over-reacting. According to accounts the boy never aimed the toy gun at anyone or threatened anyone. Is this what we have come to … ruining a kids life over a toy gun? Just curious, is a plastic toy gun really a weapon when it cannot harm anyone, but just harmful because it looks menacing? This is the exact same stupidity used by Obama and Democrats like Diane Feinstein with their assault weapons ban. Because something looks menacing, therefore it is. Can there really be any intent to harm anyone, if the weapon you have is a toy and is incapable of being lethal?

The boy, a fifth-grader at Douglas MacArthur Elementary School whose name is not being released, was charged as a juvenile with brandishing a weapon, police said.

He was also suspended from school, and Alexandria City Public Schools Superintendent Morton Sherman said further action is being considered, including expulsion.

On Monday, the boy showed the plastic gun to at least one other student during a bus ride home from the school. The 10-year-old did not point it at anyone or threaten to shoot it, but he neglected to mention that the weapon was fake, said Alexandria police spokeswoman Ashley Hildebrandt.

Schools have become irrational following the shooting at Sandy Hook. A toy is just that, a toy. Just like a pink ’Hello Kitty’ gun  that shoots bubbles is not harmful, neither is a plastic toy gun that looks real. Can we possible get a grip? With all the crime, drugs, bullying and other things going on in schools, this is what they are focusing on? Come on folks, I think we can use this as a teaching moment for this 10 year old with ruining his life and sending him to the electric chair.
