Posted in: Homeland Security,Military,War on Terror
On this 2007 Memorial Day please take a moment out of your day and give thanks to those that have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Let us remember what this day is all about.
To all those that have served in our armed forces and gave their lives for our freedom, we say thank you.
Bush pays tribute to fallen U.S. troops
Speaking of the more than 368,000 buried through history at Arlington National Cemetery, Bush said, “Nothing said today will ease your pain. But each of you needs to know our country thanks you and we embrace you and we will never forget the terrible loss you have suffered.”
“The greatest memorial to our fallen troops cannot be found in the words we say or the places we gather,” he added. “The more lasting tribute is all around us.”
America has never lacked for heroes, men and women who exemplify patriotism, honor, duty, and sacrifice. (Captains Quarters)
Freedom is never without cost. Thank you to those that have made the ultimate sacrifice and a prayer for their families that have lost loved ones while serving to protect the United States of America.
God Bless and Thank You.
On a personal note I say thank you and you are missed to my uncle who is buried in Arlington National Cemetery. Thank you from your namesake, Red.
