President Barack Obama promised no taxes to American families making under $250,000 and he promised that Obamacare was “absolutely not a tax” …

Who honestly believes that Obamacare would have passed if Democrats and Barack Obama had told the American people that it was a tax?  Prior to the House vote where Democrats passed  Obamacare on a party line vote without one Republican vote, against the will of the American people, 55% of Americans were against it while only 41% favored it. Can you imagine what the opinion would have been like if it was called a tax? Barack Obama promised that it was absolutely not a tax. Democrats said it was not a tax. However, they both lied.

Not a tax increase?

President Barack Obama, Democrats and their talking point minions do not get it both ways. They are so good at talking out of both sides of their mouths, but not this time. Obama does not get to lie to America and say Obamacare was not a tax and then sent his legal eagles to the Supreme Court and argue just the opposite that Obamacare was a tax to get it ruled Constitutional.

Carvin’s summary of the Supreme Court’s ruling was on target: “What the Obama Administration… thought they were doing was completely unconstitutional; what they lied to the American people about was constitutional.… Unfortunately they got away with that bait-and-switch. A fraud has been perpetrated on the American citizenry.”

In oral arguments before the Supreme Court, the administration’s attorneys argued — as they knew they had to — that the mandate was constitutional as a tax. This despite the fact that Democrats passed Obamacare by stating specifically and repeatedly that the mandate was not a tax, including a testy response by President Obama himself to unusually challenging questioning by ABC’s George Stephanopoulos in 2009.

It was not a matter of Barack Obama and Democrats not being able to sell the healthcare bill. They tried mightily to do so and failed. The problem was and still is that ‘We the People” do not like the law, it has nothing to do with the message. According to the most recent Rasmussen poll, 54% of Americans favor repealing Obamacare Obamatax, while only 39% support it. Imagine, just imagine if Obama and Democrats called Obamacare a tax and then passed it on party lines against the will of the people. The 2010 midterms would have been an even greater shellacking than they were.

Are you America going to take being lied to? It takes a really “snakey” President to tell “We the People” one thing and they argue the exact opposite point to the Courts.

Democrats can say they want to move on all they want. The regulation in Obamacare are detrimental to business and thus jobs and the economy. It is all wrapped into one, thus to talk about Obamatax, is to talk about the economy and job growth.
