Its Official … Mitt Romney Announces Run for 2012 Campaign for Presidency

HE’S BACK …

It came as a shock to no one, but it is now official. Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney announced plans for a 2012 campaign run for the GOP nomination in NH. Romney went on to say in his announcement speech that Barack Obama has failed America in both foreign and domestic policy.

Romney’s speech to formally declare that he’ll again seek the presidency will be heavy on economic themes and make the case that a Romney presidency would mean an intent focus on job creation.

While voters in 2008 might have seen Obama as a new, fresh face who deserved a chance to lead, Romney will argue, it’s time for another change.

“Now, in the third year of his four-year term, we have more than promises and slogans to go by,” Romney will say during a speech in New Hampshire. “Barack Obama has failed America.”

The New York Times: Democrats are already firing back at his economic argument. An Internet video released Thursday morning by the Democratic National Committeecast Mr. Romney as someone who takes positions out of convenience, not principle.

Mr. Romney is “going into this campaign with the same fatal flaws that doomed him the first time around,” said Brad Woodhouse, a Democratic National Committee spokesman. “That he’s seen as a wishy-washy, flip-flopping politician who lacks any core convictions or principles and who you simply can’t trust to shoot straight with you.”

It is hard to believe that Romney can capture the 2012 GOP nomination. Romneycare will be his undoing. Stated perfectly by Another Black Conservative, not only will Democrats and the LEFT slap Romney silly with Mitt’s state run healthcare plan as the former governor of Mass. However, that is nothing compared to what Romney’s fellow Republicans are going to do to him in the primaries and debates. Romney comes with an awful lot of baggage and its going to be rather difficult for Mitt to say he would repeal Obamacare when he created Romneycare. Romney’s focus will be the economy, but will it be enough to overshadow Romneycare?

The Democrats have already started with the Flip-Flopping ads. One would think Democrats would want to face Romney, why are they putting the ads out so soon?
