Posted in: War on Terror
Federal prosecutors seeking the death penalty of Zacarias Moussaoui for his part as what was supposed to be the 5th hijacker on board Flight 93 played the cockpit recording to the jury. We all know an should never forget the courageous efforts of those on board Flight 93 and their battle to retake the plane back that 11th day of September 2001.
Transcript of Flight 93 flight recorder
In the last few minutes before United Flight 93 crashed into a rural Pennsylvania field on Sept. 11, 2001, hijackers aboard the plane ordered passengers to “shut up” and “sit” as they issued a terrifying message: “We have a bomb on board.”
In the final minutes of Flight 93, passengers attempted an uprising and tried to retake the plane at which point the hijackers crashed it into a western Pennsylvania field. The plane had been headed for the U.S. Capitol, according to Sept. 11 mastermind Khalid Shaikh Mohammed.

Almost five years later after that horrible day, judgment day will be made for Zacarias Moussaoui. It is difficult to hear and to believe; however, no one should ever forget that day, the efforts by such hero’s as Todd Beamer, and to hold those accountable who were responsible.
Moussaoui Jury Hears Flight 93 Recording
Jurors in the Zacarias Moussaoui trial listened Wednesday to a recording of shouts and cries in the cockpit as passengers twice charged panicked hijackers during the final half-hour of United Flight 93 on Sept. 11, 2001.
These events seemed to happen so long ago, but even today the events and sounds of that day captivate people like no other event in recent history.
The jurors couldn’t take their eyes off the video screens — even during long silent periods — as prosecutors used a multimedia presentation to try to put them inside the Flight 93 cockpit.
Slumped in his chair and impassive, Moussaoui, too, watched intently.
