Donald Trump on New York Values – In His Own Words from 1999 on Meet the Press with Tim Russert (VIDEO)

OK, TIME TO TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT NEW YORK VALUES FROM DONALD TRUMPS OWN LIPS …

I like some of the things that Donald Trump says and has to offer and I also like Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) as well, so when the dust up over New York values popped up, I figured it would go away just like the rest of the nonsensical, irrelevant issues that take place during a primary. However, it would appear that the MSM and Trump want it to have legs. So let’s just dispel all the BS right here and now. Sorry Donald, you are wrong on this one and you earn no points, except with liberals and the liberal MSM. Neither of which will get you a GOP presidential nomination.

Take a good look at the VIDEO below of Download Trump from October 24, 1999 in an interview with the late Tim Russert on NBC’s ‘Meet the Press’. When asked about whether gays should serve in the military, Trumps response was … “It would not disturb me. I mean, hey, I lived in New York City and Manhattan all my life, so my views are a little bit different than if I lived in Iowa, perhaps…”. And when asked about partial birth abortion Trump’s response was, “Well, look, I’m very pro-choice…and again, it may be a little bit of a New York background, because there is some different attitude in different parts of the country, and you know, I was raised in New York, and grew up and work and everything else in New York City. Hmm … so in both cases he references New York City and because of his being raised there he could have different views than that of other people in other parts of the country.

AMERICA, WAKE THE HELL UP, DONALD TRUMP JUST ADMITTED IN HIS 1999 INTERVIEW THAT NYC/NEW YORK HAS A DIFFERENT SET OF VALUES THAN OTHER PARTS OF THE COUNTRY!!!

A note to Donald Trump and your continued nastiness and personal bullying attacks on the other candidates, its growing old. Eventually, the winner of the GOP primary is going to have to unite the party and take on the Democrat candidate. With the rate you are going, you could the reunite anything. Which is why the MSM is bating you. Wisen up!

From The Daily Wire: Proof Trump’s a Cynical Phony on ‘New York Values’

RUSSERT: Do you think gays should be allowed to be married?

TRUMP: It’s something I haven’t given lots of thought to. I live in New York City, there is a tremendous movement on to have and allow gay marriage. It’s just something that is too premature for me to comment on.

RUSSERT: How about gays serving in the military?

TRUMP: It would not disturb me. I mean, hey, I lived in New York City and Manhattan all my life, so my views are a little bit different than if I lived in Iowa,    perhaps…

Then there was this exchange:

RUSSERT: Partial birth abortion. Eliminating of abortion in the third trimester. Big issue in Washington. Would President Trump ban partial birth abortion?

TRUMP: Well, look, I’m very pro-choice…and again, it may be a little bit of a New York background, because there is some different attitude in different parts of the country, and you know, I was raised in New York, and grew up and work and everything else in New York City.

RUSSERT: But you would not ban it.

TRUMP: No…I am pro-choice in every respect as far as it goes, but I just hate it.

Ted Cruz made the comment that Donald Trump represented New York values. Of course every open minded thinking person knows what this means, even The Donald does. However, that did not stop him from some how comparing New York, which means New York City liberal values, to September 11, 2001. WHAT? Who are you kidding? The rest of New York state knows that when individuals reference New York, they are referring to NYC. Its even a fact that many in upstate New York have been upset over for years. However, lets get the facts straight, NYC is a bastion of liberalism and so is the state house in Albany.

Sorry Donald, I actually find that offensive. I agree with Conservative radio talk show host Marl Levin, ‘Cut the Crap’ with ‘New York City Bully Tactics’ Against Cruz. The fact that Donald Trump used 9-11 to some how compare that is what New York values is about is a total crock. Nice try Donald, playing the guilt and 9-11 card. What, are you really a liberal? Because that’s what is looks like to me. For some one like myself who’s best friends come from New York, I understand completely what Ted Cruz meant. We have all heard for years there is the east coast (NYC) and the West coast (LA) and then there is fly over country. The two coasts NYC and LA are as liberal as it gets, flyover is Republican. Don’t you think the folks that live in California and not just in Los Angeles get a bad wrap? Of course they do, but California politics is dominated by LA and San Fransisco.

Oh and as for liberal, lying New York Gov. Cuoma asking for an apology from Cruz. Hey Guv, you should understand this as its a Bronx cheer and a go “F” yourself. It was this same divisive ass-hat who made the comment that conservatives are not New Yorkers, “Because if that’s who they are and they’re the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.” Hmm, maybe the voters should be a little more hostile to that than a comment that Ted Cruz made.

Thanks for exposing the liberal double standard regarding NY values.

Donald Trump’s undermining of Ted Cruz’ take on NYC values is akin to “It is OK for me to call my child a brat but heaven help someone else who calls my child a brat.”

      Thanks again.

Upstate New York is totally different than New York city. Most of those areas away from the city are conservative vs only a few in the city.

New York state votes liberal only because of the overwhelming dominance of those living in the Southeast portion of the state. Many times I have listened to conservatives up-state gripe about their inability to get conservative ideas passed in the state legislature due to the dominance of the population in the NYC area.

Cruz is an idiot, Trump is a man of many values including his care, concern and safety for our country. He never should of said what he said in the first place. He was cruzin’ for a brusin’ and that’s what he got. Candidates attack each other all the time. But in this case Cruz didn’t keep it personal he included the people and families of New York. I don’t blame the folks there for taking offense to Cruz’s uncalled for remarks. It’s not Trump’s fault the media took off and ran with it. When you talk about New York what is the first thing people think about…..911. They lost what they valued and loved the most….their loved ones.

Cruz can be a real snot nose, it was O.K for the banks of New York to lend him money but then back-stabbed…. his comment was meant to be mean because he’s pissed do to not many NY voters have contributed to his campaign. Cruz is a southern baptist, their hypocrites, pretend to have values, moral or religious beliefs, principle, things they don’t actually possess. Their big drinkers but claim not to be and hide their beer in the back of the refrigerator. That’s a known fact. Been there, seen it!

People need to wise up….if Cruz is our nominee, we won’t win. Congress and the Senate dislike him because of his attitude and the bad experience they have of trying to work with him. And he’s certainly no match for Hillary.

Trump, by far, is our best choice at winning. I believe he truly cares about saving America and he will. He’s funding his campaign out of his own pocket from the monies he has earned. Be honest about it; the man is sincere.

Trump is a very intelligent guy. He would know how to handle the economy, for sure, tackle and handle the immigration issue and deal with the ISIS crisis like a commander-n-chief should. These are our biggest issues.

Attack Trump and he’ll fight back and he would do the same thing for our country. We need a strong President, someone that others might think twice about not wanting to mess with. There would be consequences.

Donald is a proud man and he wants the same thing for us and America.

As far as double standards or I can say it, you can’t crap, people say things about their kids, their families, their spouses in just….but when someone else says it to them or about them people then become protective and consider it offensive and it is, that reaction is called human nature.

Cruz can’t seem to say what he means but he expects people to understand what he said….what a crock! He says stuff that backfires and then puts the responsibility on the people to figure it out or says yea, they know what I meant.

And Tim Russet is from Buffalo, New York and he is a slimy commentator.

It doesn’t matter what he said about political issues. He’s a businessman that needs to find favor with both parties to boost his business.

Now he’s best for America because he breaks the establishment mold, breaks out of their death-hold. He’ll run America like he ran his businesses.
