Missing: Lance Calvin Buckley

He was last seen by his family at 8 a.m. Tuesday at the Staffordboro Commuter Lot, where he uses a slug line to commute to Howard University. “Sluggers” are commuters who wait for rides from strangers who can then use the high-occupancy vehicle lanes. Police say Buckley, a PhD. student at the university, was on his way to campus to pick up graduation materials.

Stafford authorities said Buckley used an ATM after arriving in D.C., and at 10:16 a.m., he sent a text message to his wife, Amy, from the area of Howard University.

He never showed up for a scheduled meeting at noon. His family has not heard from him since the text message.

Buckley is the father of an 11-day-old baby girl and a 3-year-old daughter.

Authorities say it’s out of character for him not to keep in contact with his family during the day.

Buckley is 5-feet-11-inches tall, weighs 150 pounds and has brown hair. He was last seen wearing bluejeans, a dark-colored T-shirt and gray Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers.

So the family pleads with the public and law enforcement to find a man that wasn’t actually ‘missing’ he was upset and left to be alone? This is why police hesitate to go searching for adults, because of people like this that tie-up so many agencies looking for people that were never in danger, the only foul-play is the family abusing the system.
