Morris County, New Jersey Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp and Long Hill Township Police Chief Michael Mazzeo made the announcement just after 2 p.m. Thursday, March 19 that the body found in the Passaic River was positively identified as a Wall Street Journal reporter, David Bird. On Wednesday two men were canoeing in the river when they came across a red jacket that Bird was wearing when he disappeared located near branches. The two men notified Bernards Township Police Department. David Bird, 55, has been missing since January 10, 2014 in Millington, NJ in Long Hill Township.
A body found in a New Jersey river has been positively identified as that of David Bird, a Wall Street Journal reporter who disappeared more than a year ago, officials said yesterday.
Dental records were used to identify Bird, 55, an energy-markets reporter who had been missing since taking a walk from his home by the Passaic River in Long Hill Township, N.J., on Jan. 11, 2014, the Morris County prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
Two men canoeing on the river on Wednesday found the red jacket Bird was wearing when he disappeared. The boaters immediately contacted police, who later found human remains and sought to identify them, the prosecutor said.
“At this time, the medical examiner’s investigation into the cause and manner of death is ongoing,” the prosecutor said.

Mr. Bird, who had worked for Dow Jones & Co., publisher of the Journal, for more than two decades, was instrumental in the expansion of energy markets reporting in the 1990s, leading its coverage of OPEC and energy markets and building a team regarded as among the best in business. He eventually became the deputy managing editor of the Dow Jones Energy Service.
“David Bird was a long-standing and valued member of the Dow Jones newsroom, and we are deeply saddened to learn today of his death,” said Gerard Baker, editor in chief of the Journal. “Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.”
ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith Says, ‘I Dream … Every Black Person in America Vote Republican’ at Impact Symposium at Vanderbilt University (VIDEO)
Stephen A. Smith is never at a loss for words and this time nails it 100% …
ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith said at an Impact Symposium at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, “What I dream is that for one election, just one, every black person in America vote Republican.” Never afraid to tackle controversial topics, Stephen A. Smith may have just given one of his most insightful points of view that even his counterpart on ‘First Take’ Skip Bayless would have to agree with. Stephen A. Smith’s comment makes complete and total sense if you look at it as opposed to the knee-jerk reaction he will get from the LEFT and many blacks. I have said for years, why do blacks vote for just one party, a Democrat party that was far from good to blacks in America, see pre-Civil War. The fact of the matter is, anyone who puts all their eggs in one basket are setting themselves up for failure. Who looks at one car, one house, one computer, one job and says without looking at anything else or questioning anything … I’ll take it.
When a political party knows they have you in your back pocket and knows they can take you for granted and still get your vote, that is true disenfranchisement and you are finished. The Democrat party knows that will get 85-90% of the black vote and not lift a finger for it. It’s expected. The only question is whether black America will listen to Stephen A. Smith’s words.
MUST SEE VIDEO …
“What I dream is that for one election, just one, every black person in America vote Republican,” he said. “Because from what I’ve read, and I’m open to correction, but from what I’ve read, Barry Goldwater is going against Lyndon B. Johnson. He’s your Republican candidate. He is completely against the Civil Rights Movement. Lyndon B. Johnson was in favor of it. What happens is, he wins office, Barry Goldwater loses office, but there was a senate, a Republican senate, that pushed the votes to the president’s desk. It was the Democrats who were against Civil Rights legislation. So because President Lyndon B. Johnson was a Democrat, black America assumed the Democrats were for it.”
He also added, “Black folks in America are telling one party, ‘We don’t give a damn about you.’ They’re telling the other party ‘You’ve got our vote.’ Therefore, you have labeled yourself ‘disenfranchised’ because one party knows they’ve got you under their thumb. The other party knows they’ll never get you and nobody comes to address your interest.”
I would add, if Republicans continue to do the same to Conservatives … Conservativees should do the same and teach the establishment GOP a lesson they will never forget.

Barack Hussein Obama Refuses to Call Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu After His Big Victory (Update: Obama Finally Calls, “Reassess” Its options on US-Israel Relations)
THE INCREDIBLY SHRINKING PRESIDENT … JUST HOW SMALL, PETTY AND THIN SKINNED IS BARACK OBAMA.
One needs to look no further to witness the lack of class, the pettiness and the pathetic “smallish” behavior of President Barack Obama than to examine his behavior falling the victory by Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in yesterdays landslide election. Following Benjamin Netanyahu’s huge win, Barack Obama has not called the Israel Prime Minister to congratulate him. Even for Obama, this is small. Really, this is how we treat an ally? But the incredibly shrinking Obama is throwing a temper tantrum because Netanyahu’s big win means an Obama big and embarrassing loss. All of Obama’s attempts to interfere in the Israel election and have Netanyahu ousted were for naught.
But this is the sad state of affairs that the United States sees itself in as a clueless and apathetic electorate have voted this little Napoleon into office, who is the most liberal ideologue, that America has ever had to endure. So I guess the transformation of America is to attack our allies unless they goose-step to Obama’s wishes. 2016 cannot come soon enough.
Really, this president has the audacity to question anyone about using rhetotic in an election. Seriously Barack, you might want to take a look at yourself in the mirror and see just how you conducted yourself in the 2008 and 2012 elections. And the crap you have spewed in between.
UPDATE I: NY Times – Obama May Find It Impossible to Mend Frayed Ties to Netanyahu.
President Obama and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel had a poisonous relationship long before Mr. Netanyahu swept to victory on Tuesday night in elections watched minute-by-minute at the White House.
But now that Mr. Netanyahu has won after aggressively campaigning against a Palestinian state and Mr. Obama’s potential nuclear deal with Iran, the question is whether the president and prime minister can ever repair their relationship — and whether Mr. Obama will even try.
On Wednesday, part of the answer seemed to be that the president would not make the effort.
In strikingly strong criticism, the White House called Mr. Netanyahu’s campaign rhetoric, in which he railed against Israeli Arabs because they went out to vote, an attempt to “marginalize Arab-Israeli citizens” and inconsistent with the values that bind Israel and the United States. The White House press secretary, Josh Earnest, told reporters traveling with Mr. Obama on Air Force One on Wednesday that Mr. Netanyahu’s statement was “deeply concerning and it is divisive and I can tell you that these are views the administration intends to communicate directly to the Israelis.”
UPDATE II: Obama calls to congratulate Netanyahu.
Barack Obama finally calls to congratulate Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on his recent victory; however, it was far from friendly or cordial. The thin skinned Obama, still smarting from his guy not winning the Israel election, basically made the following salutations, Congratulations, and by the way, we’re going to re-access our policy with Israel since you won. How big of Obama.
President Barack Obama told Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday that Washington would “reassess” its options on U.S.-Israel relations and Middle East diplomacy after the Israeli prime minister took a position against Palestinian statehood during his re-election campaign, a White House official said.
Obama’s telephone call to Netanyahu followed a television interview in which the Israeli leader backed away from his pre-election declaration that there would be no Palestinian state on his watch, an about-face apparently aimed at quelling U.S. criticism triggered by his comments.
The White House, unmoved by Netanyahu’s effort to backtrack, delivered a fresh rebuke against him on Thursday and signaled that Washington may reconsider its decades-old policy of shielding close ally Israel from international pressure at the United Nations.
