25 Year Old Denise Hart Mising Since 1/25/15 in Sudbury, VT (Update: Police Suspect Foul Play)

 

25 year old Denise Hart has been missing since January 25, 2015 in Sudbury, Vermont. Hart was last seen leaving a friend’s home in Sudbury on January 25 in a borrowed car; however, the authorities were not notified about her disappearance until January 31. She reportedly had been driving a 2001 Silver Pontiac Grand AM that she had borrowed from an acquaintance and that she left in this vehicle on the night of January 25.

UPDATE I: The 2001 Silver Pontiac Grand AM she had borrowed  and was driving when she was last seen was found engulfed in flames at the Cornwall Covered Bridge fishing access, only hours after she left Sudbury.

Five days earlier, the 2001 Silver Pontiac Grand Am she had borrowed from an acquaintance — and was driving when she was last seen — was found engulfed in flames at the Cornwall Covered Bridge fishing access, only hours after she left Sudbury.

“It was about 10 to 15 miles from where she started,” Hall said. Arson and forensic investigators combed through the wreckage, but Hall said the vehicle was heavily damaged by flames.

The cause of the car fire remains undetermined, but is considered suspicious, Hall added.

Hart is known to have connections to the Hartford, Connecticut, area as well as to people in Rutland and Addison counties. She has been known to use the names Tiffany and Chookie.

UPDATE II: Foul play suspected in case of missing woman.

Vermont State Police are now saying “there is a strong indication of foul play” in the mysterious disappearance of a Hartford, Conn,. woman from the tiny Rutland County town of Sudbury.

He said detectives have conducted numerous interviews with people who may have had contact with Hart in the weeks and months before her disappearance.

Hall said a search was conducted Wednesday on an undisclosed property in the town of Sudbury. Members of the Vermont State Police Crime Scene Search Team, the Search & Rescue Team, the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department did a land search, while the U.S. Border Patrol did an air search.
