WOW, Just WOW … Dave Brat Defeats Incumbent Republican House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in Virginia GOP Primary, 55.5% – 44.5%

Down goes Frazier Cantor, down goes Frazier Cantor, down goes Frazier Cantor!!!

Establishment Republicans were rocked this evening when US Rep. Eric Cantor, the Republican House Majority Leader lost to virtual unknown Dave Brat. To borrow a line from Al Michaels from the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, NY was the USA defeated the Soviet Union, “Do you believe in Miracles … YES!!! It was thought by many in the establishment that Cantor was the next in line for the Speakership; however, “We the People” had other ideas.  So much for the notion that money wins these elections, Brat trailed Cantor in fundraising, pulling in $200,000 this cycle compared to Cantor’s $2 million.

KUDOS to Dave Brat!!!

In an upset for the ages, Majority Leader Eric Cantor of Virginia, the second-most powerful man in the House, was dethroned Tuesday by a little-known, tea party-backed Republican primary challenger carried to victory on a wave of public anger over calls for looser immigration laws.

“”This is a miracle from God that just happened,” exulted David Brat, a political science professor, as his victory became clear in the congressional district around Virginia capital city.

Speaking to downcast supporters, Cantor conceded, “Obviously we came up short” in a bid for renomination to an eighth term.

The victory was by far the biggest of the 2014 campaign season for tea party forces, although last week they forced veteran Mississippi Sen. Thad Cochran into a June 24 runoff, and hope State Sen. Chris McDaniel can prevail then.

So much for Eric Cantor’s internal polling that showed him ahead of David Brat by 34 points. Oops, missed it by that much.

The poll, shared with Post Politics, shows Cantor with a 62 percent to 28 percent lead over Brat, an economics professor running to Cantor’s right. Eleven percent say they are undecided.

The internal survey of 400 likely Republican primary voters was conducted May 27 and 28 by John McLaughlin of McLaughlin & Associates. It carries a margin of error of +/-4.9 percentage points.

VIRGINIA – 7TH DISTRICT

Eric Cantor Concedes.

Cantor conceded the race around 8:25 p.m. — shortly after the Associated Press pronounced Cantor’s 13-year political career at least temporarily over. With nearly 98 percent of precincts reporting, Brat had 55 percent of the vote, while Cantor had 44 percent. People close to Cantor said internal polls showed him hovering near 60 percent in the runup to the race.

It’s one of the most stunning losses in modern House politics, and completely upends the GOP hierarchy in both Virginia and Washington. Cantor enjoyed a meteoric rise that took him from chief deputy whip, to minority whip to majority leader in the span of 13 years.

Cantor was seen by many as the next speaker of the House, biding his time until Ohio Rep. John Boehner wanted to retire.

      HOWEVER …

RINO Lindsey Graham was the victor in South Carolina … RINO Lindsey Graham who has furthered Obama’s Marxist/ Islamic transformation of America on every issue. Graham may talk the Conservative talk but his voting record reveals that he does not walk the Conservative walk.

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham wins GOP primary, avoids runoff
      June 10, 2014

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham fended off a field of Tea Party-backed challengers Tuesday night to win the state’s Republican primary and try for a third term in November. …

Graham entered the race facing sharp criticism for supporting comprehensive immigration reform and voting to confirm both of President Obama’s Supreme Court nominees.

As with immigration reform and the confirmation of Obama’s Supreme Court nominees … RINO Lindsey Graham also voted to fund Obamacare.

When will all Conservatives clue in that a Republican who talks the Conservative talk but once elected does not not walk the Conservative walk is a RINO … a Democrat in disguise. The Marxist/Islamic strategy of destroying the democratic system is the infiltratation of the opposition.

My son’s American FIL agrees but claims that Graham’s voting record should have been enough to destroy him … Graham’s voting record that has furthered the agenda of the Marxist/Islamic in the WH every step of the way. Henke cannot comprehend why ONE Conservative would back Graham.

Nevertheless … there is rejoicing in the home of my son’s in-laws pertaining to Eric Cantor’s loss.

The T.E.A. party people continue to work their plan.

Working the local levels and state levels while looking for strong candidates to take out federal candidates when possible. This will take several election cycles.

The people are tired of the status quoe in the federal government. Amnesty will not work and the people do not want it. All the long time congress people now have a big target on themselves. The people see that Washington is badly broken and will use the ballot box to throw out the trash.

Term limits are not available yet, but one day they will be in place and the concept of career politicians will be over.

If the Republicans can take the Senate in 2014, a large number of Alphabet federal agencies will be closed or greatly reduced. The bureaucrats are one of the major problems in destroying the freedom of the people. Unions should be removed from all government agencies as well.

I live and vote in the 7th District. There were two things going on here. First of all, Brat (Tea Party) is also a RINO, just different from Cantor. A professor of economics at a small liberal arts college. Never seen an economics professor that wasn’t liberal and spreading Keynesian theory.

Secondly, there was no democratic primary. So at the urging of the Democratic Party, a lot of democrats voted in the primary for Brat in order to oust Cantor.

So now we get to choose between a Republican RINO professor of economics from Randolph Macon College and a Democratic professor of sociology from Randolph Macon College. Yep, you read that right they both work at the same college. Yippeeeee sh*t.

So either way we get representation by someone with no governmental experience at any level. Another product of the liberal higher education environment. Gee does that remind you of someone else in DC? Yippeeeee.

Oh well, thank goodness I am moving to Florida in about 9 months, to a republican district.

dissolve the unions and the democrat party will die on it’s own.
