Stupid politicians bowing to pressure from those who belong to the “gimme” class who think that economics is a zero sum game and generally know nothing about how a business operates.

The fast food restaurants and other places will have to raise prices and lay off workers to stay in business. Here come the robots to take over the work in the kitchens and other activities.

The minimum wage laws have done nothing but create inflation in the money since they were first enacted. The purchase value of our current dollar compares to one to two pennies in 1937.

i doubt it will hurt employers. they will just make these protesters into part time employes and not have to provide insurance. and to boot, there will be no more tips .
of course, Seattle is a city full of liberal idiots just like California.

This will just cause everything to go up as businesses pass on the added cost to consumers. Guess its time for me to go up on my rates. The sad thing is that after a cycle of inflation everyone will still have the same buying power they have today, except they will be in a higher tax bracket paying more taxes.. oh, sales tax will be more too since goods will cost more.
