VA Sec. Shinseki Resigns, But is This Just a Band-Aid on a Broken VA Hospital System … Who Will Be Fired or Prosecuted for Fraud & Murder ?

It was probably the most expected Friday resignation in history. Of course being done prior to Memorial Day weekend may have been a bit more symbolic …

Friday morning, following comments from VA Secretary Eric Shinseki regarding the current VA scandal, Shinseki met with Barack Obama where he gave his resignation. Barack Obama accepted it and in comments to the press stated that  Shinseki did not want to be a distraction because his priority is to fix the problem and make sure our vets are getting the care that they need. Obama said that was Ric’s judgment on behalf of his fellow veterans and he I agreed, we don’t have time for distractions. We need to fix the problem. REALLY? Obama said Sloan D. Gibson, the deputy secretary of veterans affairs, will take over the VA until a new secretary is named. Great, some one from within the same system.

Having one individual resign and throwing more money at the problem is not the answer. The VA problems are systemic and the people at the top claimed they had no idea what was going on and that they were lied to. IT’S TIME TO PURGE!!! Some people need to be fired and others who took an active role in the fraud perpetrated on our military veterans and ‘We the People” that caused the deaths of many of America’s heroes need to be prosecuted and jailed.

So Ric’s commitment to our veterans is unquestioned. His service to our country is exemplary. I am grateful for his service, as are many veterans across the country. He has worked hard to investigate and identify the problems with access to care.

But as he told me this morning, the V.A. needs new leadership to address them. He does not want to be a distraction because his priority is to fix the problem and make sure our vets are getting the care that they need. That was Ric’s judgment on behalf of his fellow veterans.

And I agree. We don’t have time for distractions. We need to fix the problem.

For now, the leader that will help move us forward is Sloan Gibson, who will take on the reins as acting secretary.

CNN:

The boss resigned under pressure and other Veterans Affairs managers are likely on the way out. Now the challenge is to solve the problem by providing timely health care for hundreds — perhaps thousands — of waiting veterans around the country.

Even Eric Shinseki knew he had to go, President Barack Obama said Friday in announcing the resignation of his only Veterans Affairs secretary over a growing scandal involving sometimes deadly waits for care at VA hospitals.

Obama went before reporters months after CNN broke the story about the latest problems at the VA and minutes after meeting Shinseki at the White House.

Sorry America … take a good look at what you can expect with Obamacare and what Barack Obama and Democrats most want, a single payer healthcare system.

Hillary Clinton Has Secret (MEETING) Lunch with Barack Obama at the White House

THE SECRET OBAMA-HILLARY MEETING THAT BECAME A LUNCH …

So when is a secret meeting, not a meeting? When it is between current President Barack Obama and wannabe 2016 presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton. The unannounced lunch came to light thanks to People Magazine, which tweeted a photograph of its Washington bureau chief, political reporter Sandra Sobieraj Westfal and Hillary Clinton.  However, People later deleted the tweet after it gained considerable attention among reporters. Not so fast … Washington Examiner White House Correspondent Susan Crabtree got the screenshot of the tweet.  The magazine later republished the Tweet, changing “mtg” to “lunch.” So why the secrecy of the meeting lunch? But the media is never in the tank for libs, are they?

I guess this is just more of that Obama administration transparency. Wow, do we really need a 3rd Obama term? Better yet, can America survive a 3rd Obama term.

Obama tells Hillary, the Grandmother of Obamacare, so then in order to get it passed I told the Sheeple that if they liked their healthcare plan, they could keep it, ah, ha, ha.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had a secret lunch with President Barack Obama on Thursday — an unannounced meeting sure to fuel extensive speculation at a time when she’s widely expected to seek his job in 2016.

“The president enjoyed an informal, private lunch with Secretary Clinton at the White House this afternoon,” a White House official told Yahoo News on condition of anonymity.

The get-together was not on Obama’s public schedule. Word of the lunch emerged thanks to People Magazine, which tweeted a photograph of its Washington bureau chief, veteran political reporter Sandra Sobieraj Westfall, standing with Clinton, apparently at the former first lady’s home in Washington

Even MSM Reporters Had to Mock & Laugh at State Dept. Spokeswoman Jen Psaki Said … President Barack Obama “Doesn’t Give Himself Enough Credit for What He’s Done Around the World”

And now for the most absurd comment of the week … Imagine that, State Dept. Spokeswoman Jen Psaki thinks the Narcissist in Chief does not give himself enough credit.

Question: You know when you have told a complete whopper of a lie regarding Barack Obama and your spin has completely jumped the shark? Answer: When even the liberal MSM wets themselves laughing and mocks you. Just when you thought you heard it all from the Obama Administration comes the following. State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said yesterday to the media that President Barack Obama “doesn’t give himself enough credit for what he’s done around the world”. HUH? Like what, the Middle East on the verge, Syria, Libya? Rise of terrorism? Russian President Putin? Benghazi? Russia on the move swallowing up former Soviet possessions? Allowing Iran to nuke up under the guise of a BS agreement? America looked upon as weak around the world? How about Obama being perceived as a weak leader? How did that Arab Spring work out? Needless to say the media found her comments pretty preposterous as well. One reported responded, “How much credit would you give him? What, like, 200 percent credit?”

Reporters clearly found her statement questionable and followed up with several questions about the president’s foreign policy. There was even some laughter.

“Jen, you would argue the president doesn’t give himself enough credit? How much credit would you give him?” Associated Press reporter Matt Lee asked. “What, like, 200 percent credit?”

Because Barack Obama has never spiked the football when it was convenient for himself.

From the Washington Free Beacon – The Full transcript exchange between State Department Spokeswoman Jen Psaki and the media :

JEN PSAKI: I would argue the president doesn’t give himself enough credit for what he’s done around the world, and that’s how the secretary feels too. We would not be engaged in comprehensive negotiations with Iran, which is where the program is stalled and is rolling back, if it were not for the role of the United States, along with the P-5 plus one partners, certainly. Ukraine, we’ve been engaged more or as much as any other country in the world in supporting the elections process and supporting the government and supporting their efforts moving forward. Yes, there’s more work that needs to be done. The point is, we need to continue to stay at it.

Q: But isn’t this a potential mission accomplished situation?

PSAKI: Absolutely not.

Q: Jen, you would argue the president doesn’t give himself enough credit? How much credit would you give him?

PSAKI: Well, I think what I’m — I would give him more than he has given himself. That’s what I just said.

Q: What, like, 200 percent credit?

PSAKI: So would the secretary.

Q: So — and for — and for –

Q: Credit for what? I’m sorry, credit for what?

Q: For what, yes, exactly? That’s the point.

Q: No, I mean, I don’t — I don’t mean, like, he doesn’t deserve credit.

Q: For the Iran negotiations?

Q: I mean — I mean — I’m talking, what specifically are you talking he doesn’t get enough credit for — (inaudible)?

PSAKI: For engagement initiatives like Iran, what we’ve done on Ukraine, efforts to dive in and engage around the world.

Q: I mean, Russia has still annexed Crimea. I mean, Iran — there’s ongoing negotiations, but is that the success here that you’re talking?

PSAKI: We’re talking about engagement in the world and taking on tough issues that present themselves. And the United States continues to play a prominent role doing that.

UNBELIEVABLE!!! For this administration it does not matter whether whether a foreign policy initiative is successful, just that Obama engages.

  • Claiming they don’t have the right to force him to sell.

Update: Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer wins bidding war for Cliipers with $2 billion offer.

GOOD GRIEF … Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer Wins Bidding War for NBA’s LA Clippers with $2 Billion Offer (Update: Donald Sterling Vows to Sue)

REALLY … 2 BILLION DOLLARS!!!

Steve Ballmer, the former CEO of Microsoft, has won the bidding war for the Los Angeles Clippers at a reported offer of $2 billion. That is if you can call paying $2 billion for the Clippers a win. The 58 year old Ballmer is worth a reported $20 billion, well make that $18 now if the deal is approved by the NBA commissioner Donald Sterling and three-fourths of the 30 NBA owners.  Ballmer has reaffirmed his promise o keep the team in Los Angeles and not move it to home in Seattle. The sale price is almost four times the highest previous NBA franchise sale price, the $550 million paid earlier this month for the Milwaukee Bucks.

Sorry, Steve Ballmer is not the winner … the real winner is Clippers co-owner Shelly Sterling.

LA Clippers

Well folks, don’t ask for things they might just come true. The next round of complaints will be that it is unfair for banished from the NBA for making racist comments, Clippers owner Donald Sterling, make such an amazing profit on the sale of the Clippers. Sterling paid $12 million in 1981. OUCH, from $12 million to $2 billion, that is quite the investment. Look for cries of foul that Sterling made money for racist comments. But I don’t see any complaints from Obama about income inequality when it comes to Ballmer and the other richest sports owners.

1 MILLION 2 BILLION DOLLARS!!!

Former Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer has won a frenetic bidding war for ownership of the Los Angeles Clippers, with a $2-billion offer that would set a record price for an NBA team.

Ballmer bid higher than competitors that included Los Angeles-based investors Tony Ressler and Bruce Karsh and a group that included David Geffen and executives from the Guggenheim Group, the Chicago-based owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

he Geffen group offered $1.6 billion and the Ressler-Karsh group $1.2 billion. People familiar with both those offers said they were rejected.

Ballmer and Clippers co-owner Shelly Sterling concluded a deal late Thursday afternoon. But Bobby Samini, an attorney for Donald Sterling, said as he left the team co-owner’s home: “There’s been no sale. There can be no sale without Donald’s signature.”

The sale price would be almost four times the previous NBA franchise high: the $550 million paid earlier this month for the Milwaukee Bucks. It is the second highest price ever paid for a sports team in North America. The Dodgers sold in 2012 for $2.1 billion.

UPDATE I: Donald Sterling ruled mentally unfit, can’t prevent Clippers sale.

Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling does not have the authority to stop a $2 billion sale of his team because he has been determined to be mentally unfit to make decisions related to the family trust, a person familiar with the situation told USA TODAY Sports.

The Sterling Family Trust owns the team, with Donald and his wife Shelly each owning a 50% share. The trust spells out provisions and procedures related to the mental capacity of the trustees, and Donald Sterling did not meet the standard in a determination by experts, giving his wife sole decision-making power for the trust, the person said.

UPDATE II: NBA confirms L.A. Clippers sale to ex-Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer.

The NBA confirmed on Friday that the Los Angeles Clippers have been sold to former Microsoft (MSFT) CEO Steve Ballmer for $2 billion, the largest ever for an NBA franchise.

The NBA’s statement said:

The NBA, Shelly Sterling and the Sterling Family Trust today resolved their dispute over the ownership of the Los Angeles Clippers. Under the agreement, the Clippers will be sold to Steve Ballmer, pending approval by the NBA Board of Governors, and the NBA will withdraw its pending charge to terminate the Sterlings’ ownership of the team. Because of the binding agreement to sell the team, the NBA termination hearing that had been scheduled for June 3 in New York City has now been cancelled. Mrs. Sterling and the Trust also agreed not to sue the NBA and to indemnify the NBA against lawsuits from others, including from Donald Sterling.

UPDATE III:  Donald Sterling Vows To Sue

The statement came as NPR’s Tom Goldman received word from Sterling’s attorney that his client would sue the NBA for $1 billion in damages for terminating his ownership of the the team.

Tom says: “I communicated with Donald Sterling’s attorney Max Blecher via email. He confirms there will be a lawsuit filed in federal court in Los Angeles.”

The lawsuit is “based on multiple counts, including antitrust violations, invasion of constitutional rights, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty,” Tom says.

“This is a lawsuit against the NBA and Commissioner Adam Silver, who of course banned Sterling for life, fined him $2.5 million and is in the process of trying to remove Donald Sterling from the ownership of the Clippers,” he says.
