Kim Rhodes Shoots Her Way Into the Olympic Record Books … Win 5 Medals in an Individual Event in 5 Consecutive Olympic Games

Shooting for near perfection …

No American athlete in an individual sport has ever gone to 5 consecutive Olympics and meddled 5 consecutive times. That was until today when  Kim Rhodes of the United States won gold in woman’s skeet.  Rhodes set an Olympic record and tied the world record by hitting 99 of 100 targets on the way to winning the gold medal. She also became the first woman to win three gold medals in Olympic shooting.

She earned a gold medal in women’s skeet, setting an Olympic record and tying the world record by hitting 99 of 100 targets. She also became the first woman to win three gold medals in Olympic shooting.

“I don’t think it’s really sunk in yet, from the time I shot to present, it’s just been a whirlwind of emotions,” Rhode said. “It’s incredible. I’m just waiting for someone to pinch me.”

After Rhode’s final shot, the audience rose to its feet for an ovation, which was followed by Rhode’s tearful acceptance of her medal.

“I don’t think it ever becomes old hat,” she said of the Olympics, adding, “It’s really about the journey.”

Kim Rhodes said during her interview that she would be back for a 6th Olympics to defend her gold medal. Hey why not, she began her Olympic career at the age of 17 in the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, GA and she expects to compete in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

Isn’t this interesting, I bet that Democrats like Chucky Schumer, Diane Feinstein, Frank Lautenburg and Barack Obama would block and question Kim Rhodes as to why she uses so many rounds of ammunition. She averages 500 to 1,000 rounds a day, seven days a week. Sen. Frank Lautenberg (NJ) and Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (NY) will announce new legislation on Monday to regulate the online and mail-order sale of ammunition. Because no one could ever have a legal reason and purpose to use large amounts of ammunition.

Wouldn’t it be ironic if Kim Rhodes was invited to the White House for her amazing Olympic accomplishment? What are the odds that Obama would praise an athlete who’s sport was involved with guns? The heck with that silly 2nd Amendment thing and Rhodes’ record breaking accomplishment.

Liberal MSM Double Standard: CNN attacks Governor Palin with Pink’s “Stupid Girls” Bumper Music … And They Wonder Why They Have No Ratings

CNN used to be known as the most trusted name in news, now they have no ratings and are considered a joke. I wonder why?

Oops, they did it again. The liberal MSM and their double standards are at it again. This time it’s CNN and their genius of playing Pink’s “Stupid Girls’ as bumper music before a CNN Sunday morning piece about former Alaska governor Sarah Palin visiting a Chick-fil-A.  This is the non-bias and hateful treatment one receives from liberals who are so open minded and respectful of others opinions, especially when its in support of traditional marriage. Wow, how original.  How advent guard. Imagine just imagine if something like this was done prior to an interview of a female Democrat? What would happen if DNC Chair and Rep. Debbie Wasserman’s Schultz’ bumper music was ‘Liar, Liar’ or CNN preempted an interview with Democrat House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi with ‘The Bitch is Back’? Hmm?

Transcript from NewsBusters:

[Music and lyrics]: Aha, aha. Stupid girl, stupid girls, stupid girls. Maybe if I act like that…

RANDI KAYE, ANCHOR: Sarah Palin is apparently hungry for chicken and controversy. She posted this on Twitter and Facebook: “Stopped by Chick-fil-A in the Woodlands to support a great business.” That is her and her husband Todd. Chick-fil-A has come under fire after, we were just telling you, after its president Dan Cathy came out in opposition to same-sex marriage. Several communities now trying to block Chick-fil-A from coming into their cities. Fellow Republican Mike Huckabee has organized that Chick-fil-A appreciation day scheduled for Wednesday.

Will CNN be asked to apologize?

Hot Air reminds us of when the house band on Jimmy Fallon’s show played a derogatory song clip as then presidential candidate Michele Bachmann was coming on stage. Fallon later apologized. Just curious, what producer of a news network actually thinks that such things like this is actually appropriate and professional? Then again, it’s CNN we are referring to.

Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO) in Deep trouble for Reelection, Trails All Three Republican Challengers Brunner, Steelman & Akin

Big MO not on the side of Senator Claire McCaskill in reelection bid in Missouri.

Incumbent Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) trails all three GOP opponents in the latest poll. The full poll results can be seen HERE. John Brunner (R) holds an 11 point margin over McCaskill, leading by a 52%  to 41%. Former state Treasurer Sarah Steelman (R) leads by an 8 point advantage 49% to 41%. Rep. Todd Akin (R) leads by 5 points with a 49%  to 44%  margin. In all three cases, McCaskill is polling well under 50%, in two instances she is in the low 40′s. Can you say vulnerable? Just like Barack Obama is Missouri, McCaskill is polling poorly with Independents.

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) trails all three of her potential Republican rivals, according to a new survey conducted for two Missouri news outlets, cementing her status as this cycle’s most vulnerable incumbent.

Businessman John Brunner (R) holds the largest advantage over McCaskill, leading by a 52 perent to 41 percent margin. Former state Treasurer Sarah Steelman (R) leads by a 49 percent to 41 percent margin. And Rep. Todd Akin (R) leads by a 49 percent to 44 percent margin.

McCaskill’s big problems come among independent voters. She scores just 40 percent among independents against Akin, and she’s mired in the mid-30s when she’s matched up with Brunner and Steelman. And while McCaskill has said she would like President Obama to campaign with her, Obama wouldn’t be much of an advantage — the poll shows Obama trails Mitt Romney by a 51 percent to 42 percent margin.

Missouri is a key US Senate targeted pickup state for the GOP in 2012 in order for the Republicans to regain control of the Senate. McCaskill may be the most vulnerable Democrat Senator; however, there are many retiring Democrats that are allowing for open seats that will most certainly by GOP gains like in Nebraska, Virginia and North Dakota.

McCaskill said that she was going to skip the Democrat National convention and stay home and campaign. From the looks of it, McCaskill has shown the “Show Me” state enough. The real question that needs to be answered is how did a battleground toss up state like Missouri become solid red in such a short period of time? As The Other McCain ponders, if a mid-west state like Missouri has changed so much, how do Democrats and Obama expect to win in others like Iowa, Ohio, Indiana and Wisconsin? Good question.
