70 year old restaurant owner, Josephine “Ann” Harris, died hours after meeting President Barack Obama. The restaurant was part of Obama’s Ohio-Pennsylvania bus tour. Harris, who had been ill for some time, complained of fatigue and a tingling feeling The West Akron, OH restaurant owner died mere hours later after meeting her hero Barack Obama of a heart attack. President Obama called Harris’s family to offer his condolences after he heard the news.
Within hours of Obama’s visit, Harris, who had been ill for some time, complained of fatigue and a tingling feeling. She was rushed to Akron General Medical Center, where she died about 11:15 a.m., according to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Her family members and beloved customers were saddened by her death, yet they were pleased she was first able to meet the president.
“I’m sure this was her highlight,” said Frankie Adkins, Harris’ sister, who lives in Tulsa, Okla., and had heard about her sister’s sudden death from family members. “She loved Obama.”
The only news that might have been worse for the Obama bus tour was the jobs numbers that came out on Friday. A pathetic 80,000 jobs were created in June. What a tragic story, the death of the restaurant owner as well as what seems to be the death of our economy and jobs under Obama.
