Town of Durham, NH Asks Barack Obama Campaign to Pay for Extra Scurity Costs for Upcoming Visit
The town of Durham, NH is asking the Obama campaign to pony up between $20,000 – $30,000 to pay for the extra security required for the Presidents upcoming visit to the Granite state. President Obama will be visiting the University of New Hampshire this coming Monday. Local officials do not believe that Obama’s campaign visit should be paid by the tax payers. An officials Presidential visit is one thing, but shilling for votes is another. Maybe the voters of NH will remember this at the ballot box in 2012.
New Hampshire town is asking the Obama campaign to foot the up to $30,000 bill for the president’s upcoming campaign stop in their city.
MyFoxBoston reports the town of Durham is asking Obama’s campaign to reimburse the estimated $20,000 to $30,000 needed to fund additional police and fire safety services during his Monday visit to the University of New Hampshire.
“Community leaders do not believe that costs associated with the campaign should be borne by local taxpayers,” the release says according to MyFoxBoston.
City officials say they usually would foot the bill for a presidential visit, but since this is a campaign stop they believe the Obama campaign should have to pay for the extra security.
One would think that maybe some of the bridal, birthday and anniversary gifts that Obama gets will help pay for the extra Obama security. Since we are dealing with New England, maybe Obama can add ‘Patriot Day’ gifts to his registry money grab?

More TSA Insecurity … JFK International Airport’s Terminal 7 Shut Down & Evacuated After Unplugged Metal Detector Causes Mass Chaos
UNREAL, I feel safe that the TSA can protect us from terrorism when they cannot even figure out that a metal detector was unplugged.
Chaos ensued yesterday at New York City’s JFK International Airport when Terminal 7 was shut down and evacuated after it was determined that a metal detector was unplugged. Hundreds of passengers were forced to redo the security screenings as well as two airplanes were called back from the runway as they were preparing to take off. WTF!!! Can you imagine what the hostility must have been like all caused by complete incompetence from the TSA and one of their agents.
From Airplane, looks like the TSA picked the wrong week to quit checking unplugged metal detectors
The TSA’s bungling reached a new low yesterday when a JFK Airport terminal had to be evacuated and hundreds of passengers marched back through security screening all because one dimwitted agent failed to realize his metal detector had been unplugged, sources told The Post.
The stunning error led to hours of delays, two planes called back from the runway and infinite frustration for furious passengers.
“The truth is, this is the failure of the most basic level of diligence,” a law-enforcement source said.
“How can you expect the public to feel confident of the mission of the TSA if they don’t even know if the lights are turned on?”
This incident is simply beyond comprehension. Its one think to fondle little boys and girls and frisk granny like a common perp all in the name of national security … but to be so incompetent that you do not realize that the friggin “on” light was, um, on? Seriously! The TSA agent actually had no idea that the metal detector was not plugged in as hundreds of passengers went thru the machine with not one light flashing. At what point does common sense take over and one think that something might be wrong? Good grief!
The chaos at Terminal 7 was caused by screener Alija Abdul Majed, who had manned Lane No. 1 during the morning shift with no idea his metal detector had no juice, sources said.
Amazingly, he failed to realize that alert lights never flashed once as streams of passengers filed through the dead detector, the sources said.
Majed was so clueless that he couldn’t even tell police how long the machine had been shut off or how it happened, the sources said.

14 Year Old Phoenix Boy Shoots Armed Intruder While Watching His 3 Younger Siblings … Why We Have a Second Amendment
If there was ever a reason why we have a Second Amendment and a Right to Bear Arms, one needs to look no further than the following story.
A 14 year old Phoenix, AZ boy shot an intruder who had broke into his home as the boy was looking out for three siblings, ages 12, 10 and 8. The 37 year old home invader was carrying a gun was shot and is in critical condition, but expected to live. What a brave act on the part of this 14 year old boy. Look what happens when law abiding citizens are allowed to carry guns.
The teen and his brothers and sisters were at home alone at their residence at 55th Avenue and Baseline when a woman rang the doorbell Friday. The teen didn’t open the door because he didn’t recognize her, Police Officer James Holmes said Saturday.
Soon after, the teen heard a bang on the door, rushed his siblings upstairs and got a handgun from his parent’s bedroom. When he got to the top of the stairs, he saw a man breaking through the front door and point a gun at him.
The boy shot the 37-year-old man, who is in critical condition but expected to survive and be booked into jail.
Comments Police Officer James Holmes:
Holmes hailed the teen’s actions and his parents for teaching the kids to never open the door to strangers.
“The police and indeed our community does not ever want to see a situation where a teenager of that age has to take a weapon to protect his family … but this young man did exactly what he should have done,” he said. “I’m not sure he gave full thought about what he had to do. He just acted.”
