Allen West: Muslim Brotherhood Takeover in Egypt Shows Arab Spring Is Radical Islamic Nightmare

Allen West or Barack Obama, you make the call …

Allen West, a man wise beyond his years. A year ago US Rep. Allen West (R-FL) told supporters, “I fear the Arab Spring is really a Muslim Brotherhood nightmare.” Looks like he was spot on in his analysis. However, one man’s “radical Islamic nightmare” is another one’s (The One’s) congratulatory call.  That is correct Barack Obama called Mohamed Morsi to congratulate the Muslim Brotherhood candidate on his victory and looked forward to working with him in the future.

From Facebook, Allen West responds to the Muslim Brotherhood victory in the Egyptian Presidential election.

A year ago there were those of us who warned the Obama Administration of a Muslim Brotherhood takeover in Egypt. We were castigated as alarmists and loose cannons. Today our predictions have come to reality and the ominous specter reminding us of the Iranian revolution is evident. The Muslim Brotherhood claimed they would not run a presidential candidate. Clearly the Arab Spring is nothing more than a radical Islamic nightmare. Now we need to unequivocally reiterate our support to the Coptic Christians and Israel. What an incredible foreign policy faux pas by the second coming of President Jimmy Carter, the Obama Administration. I call upon President Barack Obama to cut off American foreign aid to Egypt, denounce the results of this election, repudiate the Muslim Brotherhood, and all radical Islamist political entities

West told CNN’s Kyra Phillips when she asked if he would say ‘yes’ if Romney wanted him on the GOP ticket this fall.

PHILLIPS: What do you think? Vice President Allen West? Would you consider it if you were asked?

WEST: …. Yes, well, right now, you know, the focus is, of course, being a good congressional representative.

But if someone were to make that call to me, which I really doubt is ever going to happen, you would have to make sure that it is something that god would ordain for you, and you’d have to talk to your wife, my wife and my two daughters about.

But we have always stepped up to the plate to serve our country. And if it’s the right fit, then I will do so.

Allen West: I Would Say Yes To VP Slot On GOP Ticket

West told CNN’s Kyra Phillips when she asked if he would say ‘yes’ if Romney wanted him on the GOP ticket this fall.

WEST: I think that Governor Romney and I definitely have a different vision for this country, a vision that gets us away from debt, despair and the horrible situations you see with our economic security, our energy security and our national security.

So I think that we will be able to come together as a team and be able to develop the right type of platform to turn this state around for the United States of America.

Sarah Palin: Allen West For Vice President
      Posted on April 3, 2012

Sean Hannity, FOX News: “You had an interesting comment earlier today where you suggested that whoever the nominee should go rogue, familiar term for you, in terms of their choice for V.P. What would be a rogue choice? Who would you like to see if you could pick maybe three or four people to suggest?”

Sarah Palin: “Specific names? TOP OF MY LIST is Allen West. I love that he has that military experience. He is a public servant willing to serve for the right reasons. He understands the Constitution. He understands our national foreign policy issues that must be addressed. He has served. I really like him. There are so many, Sean, that are out there.”

Denounce the results of the election?

Sometimes, in elections, the wrong side wins. If they won fairly, then we need to let it play out. Denouncing the first election that a country has ever had, and crippling the people in that country because we don’t like how they voted…that is not supporting democracy. What would we hope to possibly gain? A full-on military takeover?

The key is the next election, and if power transitions smoothly (or not). For now we just have another government, the real test of democracy is the second election.

I agree that Mr. West is most definitely a man wise beyond his years.

      Thanks for sharing, Tamiko’s Mom
