John Edwards Not Guilty on 1 Count, Mistrial on 5 Other Counts … But Guilty of Being a Lying, Cheating Dirtbag

Once again a jury just can’t seem to get a verdict correct … because who does not think that politicians act unethically? Crime? No, it’s business as usual.

A North Carolina jury that deliberated 9 days in the John Edwards campaign finance corruption case has finally reached a verdict, not guilty on one count and a mistrial on five other counts. This would seem to bring this matter to an end as it would appear unlikely that the prosecutions wants to have another trial on the 5 counts that the jury was deadlocked with.

A North Carolina jury found former Sen. John Edwards not guilty today on one of six counts in a campaign-finance trial, and declared itself hopelessly deadlocked on the remaining charges, leading the judge to declare a mistrial on those counts.

Edwards said he did not believe he did anything “illegal” but acknowledged the affair he conducted while his wife, Elizabeth, was dying of cancer was “awful” and “wrong.”

“No one else is responsible for my sins,” he said. “I am responsible.

“If I want to find the person responsible for my sins, I don’t have to go further than a mirror,” he added. “It was me and me alone.”

John Edwards said in a statement following the verdict, that he wanted to thank the jury and that they took their job very seriously and were diligent in their duties. Too bad one could not say the same for the shamed former Senator, Democrat Presidential candidate and VP candidate.

Edwards stated in a post trial press conference that “God was not through with him”. That may be the case Mr. Edwards, but the American people are. Make no mistake about it, your political career is over, finished, kaput. After you were acquitted from the crimes, no one really wanted to hear your smarmy voice or excuses. You lied to the America people, but more importantly, you lied to your wife who was dying of cancer and cheated on her with another woman and had a baby. A baby that you refused to admit was yours.

No matter what the outcome of the verdict, the gig is up and everyone knows what and who you are. People have a strange way of not forgiving those who cheat on their dying wives. Especially one’s who do not seem to learn anything from their short comings.

Lowest of the LOW! The most insulting part to the American Public is that WHILE he was actively campaigning- he was everywhere in the Press, portraying himself as the dedicated long-time Husband to his terminally ill late Wife…in order to help “build” his character and assist Voters in deciding to cast a vote for him as a potential President-Elect.

Scary indeed that a Man so untruthful, with such poor character and moral behavior could have been elected as our President!

Rielle Hunter- thanks for being such a self-centered whack job that your accompanying gross misconduct led us to uncover your torrid affair.

Really, we should be giving due credibility to the National Enquirer of all rags since they broke the story initially.

The Government should not waste it’s time at the Taxpayers expense to re-try Edwards since it is too difficult to prove about the “Campaign Donations/Gifts” of enormous amounts of money from Mellon, and others.

Bunny was right! This Jackwagon should have paid for his campaign booty call with his own Money, of which he had/has plenty. Ugh.

      Doesn’t that just cap it?

Sometimes I think our whole justice system is like a casino in Vegas! Some other dude with a lack of political connections, ample money resources, a wonky eye, or maybe hair like Ted Kaczynski…

He’d be serving time at Club Fed for a long while.

#2-Carpe—So true about our American Justice System sometimes….It’s like Roulette—just throw the little ball around the spinning wheel and see where it lands.

Scary, if one really thinks about it. Sometimes the Lady and her Scales seem a quite unbalanced.
