How arrogant and smug could one possibly be? When asked during a rare Presidential press conference what Obama would say to his
critics who will say that Obama wants gas prices to go higher because you have said before that will wean the American people off fossil fuels onto renewable fuels, Obama replied with a flipped and politically “flip-flop” answer … “do you think the President of the United States going into re-election wants gas prices to go up higher?”
There you go America, Barack Obama wants high gas prices, he just does not want them during an election year. This President cared less of the will of the people during his first term, can you imagine the damage Obama would cause in a second term when he has no accountability?
Ed Henry, FOX News: Your critics will say on Capitol Hill that you want gas prices to go higher because you have said before that will wean the American people off fossil fuels onto renewable fuels. How do you respond to that?
President Obama: Ed, just from a political perspective, do you think the President of the United States going into re-election wants gas prices to go up higher? Is that — is there anybody here who thinks that makes a lot of sense? Look, here’s the bottom line with respect to gas prices: I want gas prices lower because they hurt families.

SM: want it to go down 25 cents … develop and actual energy policy that has short, middle and long term goals. Not just a subsidy green energy policy that is unrealistic. Obama’s hate fossil fuel approach is a joke. All of the above my butt. He has done nothing to incorporate and all of the above approach.
Here is hoe lame and short sided Obama’s energy plan is. Say just for grins 75% of Americans bought the Chevy Volt or some other over priced car that the 99% could not afford and there was such a shift from oil to electricity. WHERE IS THE ELECTRICITY COMING FROM? If something like this occurred, we would have no source to create the electricity, there would be a huge demand, no supply and prices would soar through the roof.
I would not suprise me if Barry ordered the national petroleum reserves to be opened to drive down gas prices during the fall elections.
He certainly will not get there with alge.
Why then ridicle him about biofuel? Yea know, the algae quote he never said. We have a 100+ yr supply of natural gas. Put that in a gas turbine, Voila, electricity. And you know what? Your grand kids MAY see a white Christmas

SM: The difference between Obama and I is that I really believe in an ALL OF THE ABOVE approach. The fact of the matter is right now, we are a fossil fuel dependent society and should look to our own resources first. Does that mean that alternative methods should not be researched, of course not.
What it does mean is that a President should not try and kill the oil industry when its convenient for him. However, his “green” energy policy is a total and complete joke. This is what happens when a policy is based on politics, not sound energy supply and demand policies.
