“Newt”ron Bomb … Newt Gingrich’s Ex-Wife Gives ABC News “Explosive” Interview … Could End Her Ex-husband’s Career … Will It be Aired Before or After SC Primary

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned … Newt’s ex-wife Marianne Gingrich about to drop a “Newt”ron bomb.

According to all polls, Newt Gingrich is gaining on GOP Presidential primary challenger Mitt Romney; however, Newt may have met his biggest challenge in the primaries and it isn’t any of the other contenders. As per the Drudge Report, Newt’s second ex-wife Marianne Gingrich met earlier this week with ABC News, that could end her ex-husband’s career with a single interview. Who did not think that this bombshell was going to drop? Newt has been his own worst enemy. However, its better this comes out sooner than later.

Marianne Gingrich has said she could end her ex-husband’s career with a single interview.

Earlier this week, she sat before ABCNEWS cameras, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

She spoke to ABCNEWS reporter Brian Ross for two hours, and her explosive revelations are set to rock the trail.

But now a “civil war” has erupted inside of the network, an insider claims, on exactly when the confession will air!

So when will the interview air? Before, on the day of or after the South Carolina primaries? The debate rages, however, does it matter? AP is reporting that it could air Friday night on Dateline, one day before the SC primary.

Gingrich’s daughters send letter to ABC defending their father.

UPDATE I: Interview to air Thursday night on Date Line.

An ABC News executive tells The Associated Press that the network has interviewed Newt Gingrich’s second wife and is likely to air the segment Thursday on “Nightline.”

That’s two days before the South Carolina primary, where the Republican presidential candidate is trying to topple GOP front-runner Mitt Romney.

The ABC News executive did not indicate what the ex-wife, Marianne, said in the interview and spoke on the condition of anonymity because the plans for airing the interview were tentative.

This is not surprising, and personally I think Newt should be exposed for what he is. 3 failed marriages, and the second one not handled well at all.

It speaks to the content of Gingrich’s character. If he can treat a Woman whom he had children with like this, what else? While there are 2 sides to every story and her timing is (of course) impeccably planned…I again think Gingrich should be dealt this fatal blow.

To be clear, he has been public about making mistakes in his past- he’s never denied it—but is that enough, America??

I honestly would not want this Man for President even though periodically his intelligence impresses me.

I admire Newt Gingrich for many things, but his personal conduct is not to my tastes. I knew when he got into this race that he could never make it to the top of the ticket with his “baggage.” Too bad that a brilliant mind has such to be encased in such a weak character.

Great I already told months ago that Newt had way too many skeletons still in his closet.

The press are going to slaughter the Rep. candidates one by one and the winner will be so damaged Obama will blow him away.

I agree with NG Boston and I am not a fan of Newt Gingrich. However, I do resent the bias of ABC in airing this interview but always coddling Barack Obama who, imo, is the most offensive of all.

I see those motivated to take down the GOP candidates pull the “woman scorned” card each time. First Cain, now Newt.

Wonder what they’ll pull next? I agree with NG that Newt didn’t handle the marriages well, but he’s not as bad as Clinton was before, during, and more than likely after his White House stint re: womanizing…yet the left cared less. Was considered his “personal life” and not part of politics.

Funny how that works depending on which side one is on, huh?

I have had no failed marriages. But most of my friends have had a few. This will not hurt him.
      Today divorce is very common.

His ex wife did not want to have sex? So the marriage was kaput!

    9. brie. on January 20th, 2012 6:27 am

Obviously he can’t keep the barn door closed. Why be married if don’t want to value and live by the vows you promised? How could she become a first lady that’s been shunned by her husband? Living a marriage that is in serious trouble! We absolutely do not need this!!!!!! He’d be another disgraceful President. Another complete disgrace to some of our past President’s.

I think john king probably wishes he had never asked about this issue this morning. Newt made him look like the moron he is. That look on his face and that where can hide on stage stumble was worth a million votes in my book. Maybe some of the other so called journalist out there will think twice before they ask such a stupid question during a presidential debate (probably not). It’s the issues we’re worried about you idiots so try asking about them and only them.

      @6

you main that he wanted to impeach Clinton for having an affair and lying about it.

      while doing the same thing??

    12. Moi on January 20th, 2012 9:05 am

Brie, we don’t know that x-wife is even telling the truth. I remember years ago a girl I knew had just gone through a divorce and wiped her x-husband clean of any penny he ever owned.

Another girl I knew was about to go through a divorce, but she was a nicer lady. the nasty girl told her to “get in front of the judge and lie your ass off to get what you want because I did and it works!” The nice lady turned to me after the nasty one walked off and told me she would ‘never’ do such a thing…lie like that.

So much for telling the truth. That man is scarred for life, his money/kids ripped away all over lies. Probably same for Newt. X-wife was like living with Satan and he’d simply had enough.

#- Victoria—-Is that your Political expertise for the year? Thanks, but NO THANKS. And don’t quit your day job.

    14. SUPER DAVE on January 20th, 2012 3:45 pm

so what is so bad about this when obama was a professed womanizer and a dope dealer ?

    15. NGBoston on January 20th, 2012 4:17 pm

Just had to add that also the “Truth” is that Clinton’s name has been included in every article/discussion concerning Newt’s unchained libido.

Slick Willie was a horn-ball, Newt is a sleaze. If there is a hypocrisy, it’s the Impeach Clinton, Elect Newt mentality.

A divorce is one thing (Reagan was divorced before marrying Nancy) but seriously- how do you go outand preach the strength in family values when your personal life is/was such a damn mess? Just makes Newt look like another blowhard Hypocrite.

      Mitt is the Man.

      Reagan and Nancy.
      That was a classy couple!
Saw a whole docu on them…esp. the last part was moving.

      Dolf,

You said: “you main that he wanted to impeach Clinton for having an affair and lying about it.

      while doing the same thing??”

WTF are you asking me? I main what? I also never mentioned impeachment, nor any lying…nor was I involved in trying or suggesting to impeach Clinton…so what’s your question?

    18. NGBoston on January 21st, 2012 10:10 am

One more important thing. For the record I DESPISE Nancy Pelosi. But I wonder when she is going to speak up even more about all the past VIOLATIONS from the Ethics Committee (all documented) when Newt Gingrich was house Speaker? When you have to step down also because of said VIOLATIONS, what does that say to you? Some of them had to do with the inappropriate funneling of money. Oh, Gee Whiz.

Come on, Nancy- I am counting on you to get your big mouth going as usual. This is one time I would actually look forward to it.
