60% of Americans Disapprove of Obama’s Handing of the Economy … 52% Say Obama Should be Voted Out of Office

More bad polling data for President Barack Obama, less than one year old from the 2012 elections.

With less than a year to go before the 2012 elections, Barack Obama finds himself with new polling lows. Sixty percent of Americans disapprove of the way in which Obama has handled the economy, while only 39% approve. To make matters worse for Obama, 52% state that he should be voted out of office. Also, Obama overall job approval rating is at an all-time low of 44%. These are hardly polling numbers that an incumbent would want heading into an election season.

For the first time, the poll found that a majority of adults, 52 percent, said Obama should be voted out of office while 43 percent said he deserves a second term. The numbers represent a clear reversal since last May, when 53 percent said Obama should be re-elected while 43 percent said he didn’t deserve four more years.

Obama’s overall job approval stands at a new low: 44 percent approve while 54 percent disapprove. The president’s standing among independents is worse: 38 percent approve while 59 percent disapprove. Among Democrats, the president holds steady with an approval rating of 78 percent while only 12 percent of Republicans approve of the job he’s doing.

The Left, their pundits and the liberal MSM can cover for Obama all they want, it is hard to imagine that when 75% of the American people think that the country is headed in the wrong direction and poll after poll have a majority of Americans stating Obama does not deserve reelection, Obama has little chance of reelection.

Let the Games Begin … SEC Charges Former FANNIE MAE & FREDDIE MAC Execs with Securities Fraud

The SEC, Securities & Exchange Commission,has charged six former executives of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac with securities fraud. Get ready for the Enron of the 2010′s. Those who committed fraud and deception upon the people of the United States may finally be held accountable. However, as stated at Michelle Malkin.com, there seem to be some missing from the list … where is former Fannie Mae head and Clinton/Obama pal Franklin Raines?

The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged six former top executives of the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac) with securities fraud, alleging they knew and approved of misleading statements claiming the companies had minimal holdings of higher-risk mortgage loans, including subprime loans. [...]

Three former Fannie Mae executives — former Chief Executive Officer Daniel H. Mudd, former Chief Risk Officer Enrico Dallavecchia, and former Executive Vice President of Fannie Mae’s Single Family Mortgage business, Thomas A. Lund — were named in the SEC’s complaint filed in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

The SEC also charged three former Freddie Mac executives — former Chairman of the Board and CEO Richard F. Syron, former Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer Patricia L. Cook, and former Executive Vice President for the Single Family Guarantee business Donald J. Bisenius — in a separate complaint filed in the same court.

“NO TEBOWING ZONE” … Two Riverhead High School Students Suspended for Tebow”ing”

Who knew that a high school hallway was a “No Tebowing” zone. Educators really need to get educated.

How on Earth have we got to the point where high school kids get suspended for “Tebowing”? In a world where high school kids are smoking, drinking, sexting, puffing, bullying, hazing, harassing, cursing, assaulting, raping, cheating and doing drugs to name just a few … the brain surgeon administrators at Riverhead High School in Long Island, NY suspended students for “Tebowing” in the hallway.

No running in the halls — and no Tebowing either.

That’s what one Long Island administration said Wednesday when it suspended a group of high school athletes for replicating Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow’s popular pose in the hallway at school.

Jordan Fulcoly, Wayne Drexel and brothers Tyler and Connor Carroll of Riverhead High School were all handed a one-day suspension Wednesday, after three days of taking a knee with their foreheads resting on their fists, the same way Tebow does in the end zone and on the sidelines. The news was first reported by Yahoo! Prep Rally earlier Thursday.

Riverhead superintendent Nancy Carney said that two of the students’ suspensions were later rescinded, citing that administrators found that those students were not given the same warnings that the other two were.

Seriously folks, they were “Tebowing” … not smoking in the boys room. They students who were suspended stated it was an over-reaction by the school and that they were honoring Tim Tebow, who they look to as a role model. Tebow is a winner, a leader and a role model who doen’s do steroids and has great faith. Yup, that’s exactly what needs to be punished.

Just curious, If Elly Manning of the NY Giants or Mark Sanchez of the Jets were  going to one knee, would the Long Island high school gone to this extreme? Better yet, if they were Muslim students praying to Mecca, would suspensions have been warranted?

People need to get a grip … in this day and age high school age kids need all the decent, honorable role models they can get. In the words of one of the suspended school students, “I think they screwed up”. AGREED!

Using a Mounted Deer Head as a Weapon … Zephyrhills, FL Woman Chelsea Harrison Stabs Ex-Boyfriend Terry Nowakowski with Deer Antlers

Ex-boyfriend get’s stabbed by a reindeer … ok, so maybe the song goes, ‘Grandma got run over by a rein deer’; however, that was not the case in Zephyrhills, FL. Imagine what this 911 call sounded like?

File this one under, get ready for a red neck Christmas in Zephyrhills, FL. Chelsea Harrison has been charged with domestic battery after she jabbed and stabbed her ex-boyfriend with the antlers of a deer head. Yes, you heard that correct, the weapon of choice of a deer head. After having locked here ex boyfriend, Terry Nowakowski, out of the house, he decided to break down the door. That is when
Chelsea Harrison, took that mounted deer head and began striking her ex in the face and body with the antlers.

He figured it was his house too, so when Terry Nowakowski’s ex-girlfriend locked him out Tuesday afternoon, he decided to break down the door.

When he stepped inside, authorities said, he was greeted with antlers.

His ex-girlfriend, Chelsea Harrison, armed herself with a mounted deer head and “began striking him in the face and body with the ends of the antlers until she lost her grip dropping it to the floor,” a Pasco County Sheriff’s Office report states. Nowakowski, 20, managed to flee and call for help.

It is reported that Noakowski and Harrison live together, even though they are separated and have a 3 year old child together. They might want to rethink that living arrangement.   I guess the ex can thank his lucky stars that there were no moose heads in the home, or any unicorns.

Christopher Hitchens Passes Away at the Age of 62, 1949–2011 … Rest in Peace

Christopher Hitchens, contributing editor of Vanity Fair, has passed away from pneumonia and complications from esophageal cancer at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Hitchens passes away at the age of 62 after his long bout with cancer and leaves behind his wife and /….  Just far too young, Rest in Peace.

Christopher Hitchens—the incomparable critic, masterful rhetorician, fiery wit, and fearless bon vivant—died today at the age of 62. Hitchens was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in the spring of 2010, just after the publication of his memoir, Hitch-22, and began chemotherapy soon after. His matchless prose has appeared in Vanity Fair since 1992, when he was named contributing editor.

Although I can say I did not agree with much of his politics and his religious views, I can remember the stark reversal Hitchens took with President Bill Clinton and his change of views following September 11, 2001. His views on radical Muslims were spot on. However, one does not have to agree 100% with ones thoughts and views to recognize a brilliant mind and an exceptional writer, with a biting whit second to none.

No Democrat angered him more than Clinton, whose presidency led to the bitter end of Hitchens’ friendship with White House aide Sidney Blumenthal and other Clinton backers. As Hitchens wrote in his memoir, he found Clinton “hateful in his behavior to women, pathological as a liar, and deeply suspect when it came to money in politics.”

He wrote the anti-Clinton book, “No One Left to Lie To,” at a time when most liberals were supporting the president as he faced impeachment over his affair with Monica Lewinsky. Hitchens also loathed Hillary Rodham Clinton and switched his affiliation from independent to Democrat in 2008 just so he could vote against her in the presidential primary.

US Marriage Rate Hits All-Time Low at 51%

YIKES, talk about a trend and probably not one for the better ...

The marriage rate in the United States for those over the age of 18 has hit an all-time low 51%.  This is compared to a 57% rate in 2000 and 72% in 1960. The average age of those marrying has risen slightly; however, the most alarming aspect of this data might be that nearly 40% of those polled say marriage is becoming obsolete.

Marriage rates in the US have hit an all-time low, as economic forces and social shifts have pushed couples to delay or avoid matrimony, according to an analysis of census data by the Pew Research Center.

Just 51 per cent of people over age 18 are married today, compared to 57 per cent in 2000 and 72 per cent in 1960, with trends pointing toward wedded couples becoming a social minority within a few years.

“Public attitudes about the institution of marriage are mixed,” the report said. “Nearly four-in-10 Americans say marriage is becoming obsolete,” yet most people who have never married say they would like to some day.

With the economy in the tank, individuals finances at risk, 401K uncertainty, more and more college grads returning to live home with mommy & daddy, and employers now covering live in boyfriends and girl friends on insurance plans, the institution of marriage has taken a hit.

Body of Missing Tennessee Mom Karen Swift Found … Death Ruled a Homicide

The case of missing Tennessee mother of four has gone from a missing person case to a murder investigation. The body of 44 year old Karen Swift was found along the roadside covered by vegetation about three miles from where Swift’s abandoned car has been located. Karen Swift had been missing since October 30, 2011 when she was last seen be her husband at her home in Dyersburg home. Swift’s death has been ruled a homicide.

No suspects have yet been named in the death of Karen Swift.

A missing person investigation became a murder investigation when authorities confirmed that a body discovered near a Tennessee highway was that of Karen Johnson Swift, the mother of four who disappeared on Oct. 30.

“She had been there some time,” Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box told ABC News’ Western Tennessee affiliate WBBJ-TV. “The body had been concealed by vegetation.”

Swift’s body was in an area covered in vines and that there were no indications that she was killed in a different location, according to the sheriff. The place where the body was recovered is about three miles from where Swift’s abandoned car, a white 2004 Nissan Murano, was found with a flat tire.

“There were some apparent injuries to the body,” Box told WBBJ. “We’re going to wait to let the medical examiner’s final report tell us the extent of those injuries.”

The sheriff said it could be two weeks before a Memphis coroner releases the final autopsy report. Police are now focusing on finding Swift’s killer.

Barack Obama & Democrats Drop Millionaires Paying for Extending the Payroll Tax Cut (Update: $1 Trillion Spending Agreement Reached for 2012)

Big Obama and Democrat concession on payroll tax cuts …

What can only be described as a victory by Congressional Republicans and a blow to President Barack Obama and Senate Democrats, Obama and Democrats cave on charging millionaires to pay for extending the payroll tax cut. Controlling just the House, Republicans are dictating the narrative as Obama and Dems caved, some are not surprised and upset with Obama and his Democrat minions. However, what do you expect, the GOP has been saying this for 3 years, Obama is no leader.

In what would be a major concession, President Obama and Senate Democrats will drop their insistence that a surtax on millionaires pay for extending the payroll tax cut, a Democratic source tells CNN. This would be part of a new Democratic offer.

On another note, will the government shut down? Signs point to no, there will most likely be a last second deal avoiding a shutdown.

UPDATE I: Just as we predicted above, there will be no shut down of the government, Congressional leaders reach spending deal to avoid government shutdown. Does Obama now have his excuse to head to Hawaii?

One Trillion Dollars!!!

Congressional negotiators signed off Thursday evening on a $1 trillion spending agreement for 2012 for federal agencies, barely 27 hours before a deadline that could have led to a government shutdown.

After dropping minor policy prescriptions that President Obama opposed, members of the House and Senate Appropriations Committees gave final approval to the plan after a four-day standoff related to Obama’s demands to extend the payroll tax holiday for 160 million workers.

I’m glad to see that Congress got the message from “we the people” in stop spending money, NOT! Like the Lonely Conservative, I am ill as well. This Congress just does not get it and the reason why I say, they and this President get no tax increases to seal with any deficit. They have shown that they are all incapable of reducing spending and the burden on the American people. The 2012 elections cannot come fast enough and do not be surprised if Democrats lose control of the presidency and the Senate … also, establishment Republicans lose as well and some in positions of power are not there after 2012. Enough is enough.
