Sad Day in Happy Valley: Penn State Board of Trustees … Joe Paterno Out Immediately as Head Coach … PSU President Graham Spanier Also Out
JOE PA OUT!!! … SAD DAY IN HAPPY VALLEY.
ITS OFFICIAL … JOE PATERNO OUT EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY AS PENN STATE HEAD COACH …
The Penn State Board of Trustees have spoken, the Joe Paterno coaching era ends in disgrace. Earlier in the day Paterno said that he would retire at the end of the years amidst the child sex scandal. Paterno was in tears and his football team in disbelief, the end of an era was over. He stated that “at this moment the Board of Trustees should not spend a single minute discussing my status.” However, that was not the case. The Board decided to terminate Paterno effective immediately. However, it was only inevitable, the domino’s were beginning to fall. 61 years on the sidelines and 46 years as head coach of the Nittany Lions all over because of a lapse in judgment and not doing the right thing when it came to a child predator.
Fade to black … Joe is Out
Penn State football coach Joe Paterno was fired late Wednesday night as the result of a growing child-sex scandal that has engulfed the program. The move is effective immediately meaning he will never coach for the school again.
The board of trustees also fired Penn State president Graham Spanier amid the growing questionable behavior and cover up of the child sex scandal at the hands of one time PSU defensive coordinator and assistant coach Jerry Sandusky. Spanier has been president of the school since 1995. You knew Spanier was toast when he threw his full support behind the two PSU officials that were arrested, rather that showing outrage of the incident.
“My son is extremely distraught, and now to see how we were betrayed, words cannot tell you. To see that Graham Spanier is putting his unconditional support behind Curley and Shultz when he should be putting his support behind the victims, it just makes them victims all over again.”
What a sad, tragic and pathetic end to a college football coaching icon. Joe Paterno, the winningest coach in Division I NCAA football leaves the game in disgrace following the child sex abuse scandal that has rocked Happy Valley and Penn State. How could it have come to this? Honestly, as a long time Paterno fan and having known individuals that have attended PSU, I am stunned. How could a hideous pedophile like Jerry Sandusky have brought down such a beloved man like JOE PA? Oh sorry, alleged hideous, pig SOB pedophile Sandusky. If there is any justice, Sandusky will get his in the State Penn that he did to little boys at Penn State. Also, how could anyone at Penn State, including Paterno, have not done more to protect the children and not covered up this terrible crime? Did they think it would be forever just swept under the rug?
What a sad day and a terrible lapse of judgment on the part of Joe Paterno. Shock and Awe hits Penn State. 409 wins and 24 bowl wins was not enough to save the job of coaching legend Joe Paterno. PSU college students take to the streets in support of Joe Pa; however, there were some that did not and openly stated that Joe was not the victim.
“I am disappointed with the Board of Trustees’ decision, but I have to accept it.
A tragedy occurred, and we all have to have patience to let the legal process proceed. I appreciate the outpouring of support but want to emphasize that everyone should remain calm and please respect the university, its property and all that we value. (snip)

2 Year Old Sky Metalwala Missing Since 11/6/11 in Bellevue, WA … Authorities Say Story Doesn’t Add Up
This missing child’s story not even coming close to passing the Hinky meter.
2 year old Sky Metalwala has been missing since Sunday, November 6, 2011 in Bellevue, WA. Julia Biryukova, the mother of the missing boy, told police that her car ran out of gas and she left 2 year old Sky Metalwaia sleeping alone in his car seat locked inside the vehicle that was pulled over on the side of the road. Biryukova then told investigators that she and her 4-year-old daughter walked to a gas station. When they returned to the car, the Sky was gone.
Bellevue Police Maj. Mike Johnson said, “Nothing about the story adds up.” Ut-oh, that res flag goes up again, Biryukova, is in the middle of a a bitter divorce proceeding with the boy’s father. Julia Biryukova, has also refused to take polygraph test.
Who on Earth leaves their two year old toddler in a car that has run out of gas and has no heat in November in Washington State? You mean this parent had two children and no cell phone? There were no other cars on the road to hail that would stop and help? One would think you might go to a nearby house for help. Police suspect foul play. Ya think? According to accounts, no one has seen the boy lately.
Clay Terry, one of the attorneys representing Metalwala, was not immediately available for comment. But he told ABC News affiliate KOMO that his client is “exhausted” and hadn’t slept much since his son disappeared.
The father of two has kept out of the spotlight, making one brief, soft-spoken public statement to reporters Monday outside his lawyer’s office, saying, “Please just return him back, like I just said to the police officers, the hospitals and the fire department. Please.”
Police have emphasized they aren’t naming any suspects yet, but they do suspect “foul play.”
This doesn’t even come close to passing the smell test. For more updates, comments and to provide your own opinions, go to Scared Monkeys Missing Persons Forum: Sky Metalwala.

Merry Christmas from Barack Obama … Taxing All Christmas Trees 15¢, Bah Humbug (UPDATE: Tax Delayed)
The Obama Administration will tax your hopes and dreams next … oh wait, they already have.
Have these people no shame? What do Americans need in the midst of an economic downturn, 9% unemployment and out of control federal debt … A Christmas tree tax of course! How in the hell does one create a Christmas tree tax? By the way, are we supposed to call them Christmas trees, or are they Holiday trees? Try and figure this circular logic out. The out of control intrusive federal government is taxing Christmas trees in order to market the image of the trees? HUH? The mere presence of the tax is going to give the trees a negative image. But what else can we expect from an Obama administration that would find a reason to tax everything and anything.
President Obama’s Agriculture Department today announced that it will impose a new 15-cent charge on all fresh Christmas trees—the Christmas Tree Tax—to support a new Federal program to improve the image and marketing of Christmas trees.
In the Federal Register of November 8, 2011, Acting Administrator of Agricultural Marketing David R. Shipman announced that the Secretary of Agriculture will appoint a Christmas Tree Promotion Board. The purpose of the Board is to run a “program of promotion, research, evaluation, and information designed to strengthen the Christmas tree industry’s position in the marketplace; maintain and expend existing markets for Christmas trees; and to carry out programs, plans, and projects designed to provide maximum benefits to the Christmas tree industry” (7 CFR 1214.46(n)). And the program of “information” is to include efforts to “enhance the image of Christmas trees and the Christmas tree industry in the United States” (7 CFR 1214.10).
As Conservatives4Palin states, just when did this country become so screwed up? When did we need a government to tell us how to “enhance” our Christmas trees? Further, when did we need them to charge us for it? Agreed! What won’t they tax?
As Weasel Zippers states, Caesar Obama Hath has issued a Christmas tree tax.
“And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.” — Luke 2:1
UPDATE I: Christmas Tree Tax Delayed … I guess the Obama Administration will delay the tax until after Christmas?

Hint, Hint, Hint … Bill Clinton Says Presidents Should be able to Run For a Third Term
You once, twice three times a presidential term. Former president Bill Clinton thinks that former Presidents should be able to run for a third term. Who on Earth could he possibly be referring to? Please slick Willie, two terms is enough for any President. We should be talking about term limits for US Senators and House Representatives and the over al;l amount of time any one individual can spend in political life, not extending it. All politicians should be subject to term limits, it would certainly end much of the lobbying and corruption.
Three times could be a charm — but not for him.
Former President Bill Clinton said Tuesday that presidents should be able to run for a third term as long as they take off some time after their second term.
“I’ve always thought that should be the rule,” he said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “I think as a practical matter, you couldn’t apply this to anyone who has already served, but going forward, I personally believe that should be the rule.”
Clinton made the remark in the context of a question posed by “Morning Joe” co-host Joe Scarborough, who said that many wished that Clinton could run again.

President Barack Obama was Playing Golf Just Before Navy SEALs Took Out Bin Laden
PRIORITIES … The following will come as a surprise to no one. He was so quick to take credit, but where was the President prior to the mission?
Good grief, Barack Obama, the Commander in Chief, was golfing prior to the US Navy SEAL mission that killed Bin Laden. According to the UK Daily Mail, Obama was golfing just 20 minutes before the Navy Seals began their mission to take out terrorist mastermind. As reported at Town Hall, according to a new book, SEAL Target Geronimo, written by former Navy SEAL commander Chuck Pfarrer, the President was not nearly that engaged – and was actually playing golf until 20 minutes before the operation began in earnest.
In the official photograph, he looked every inch the commander in chief.
Strain etched on his face, Barack Obama watched as the raid to kill Osama bin Laden played out on a television in front of him.
According to a new book, however, the President was not nearly that engaged – and was actually playing golf until 20 minutes before the operation began in earnest.
Only then did he down his clubs and return to the White House to watch what he later trumpeted as a great success of his presidency.
The book claims that Obama distanced himself by golfing from the mission in case something went wrong. You review what he has done the last 3 years as President and make the call.
Mr Pfarrer says the President’s role was largely inflated and suggests he stayed out on the golf course for so long so he could distance himself in case it went wrong. Mr Pfarrer writes: ‘If this had completely gone south, he was in a position to disavow.’

Herman Cain to Address 4th Accuser (Sharon Bialek) Who Claims Sexual Harassment … “He put his hand up my skirt” (UPDATE: Fifth Woman Comes Forward)
The 4th accuser has come forward. Sharon Bialek alleged at a news conference that Republican Presidential primary candidate Herman Cain sexually harassed her in 1997. She claims that Cain reached her skirt as she sought help in finding a job. Herman Cain has denied the allegation. In listening to the accounts of Sharon Bialek I would ask one thing, what she describes is not sexual harassment, it was sexual assault. Nothing was said until now? Why? Also, you might have wanted to come across as a little more credible by having some one other than Gloria Allred as your mouth piece. Just saying.
“Instead of going into the offices, he suddenly reached over and … put his hand on my leg, under my skirt toward my genitals,” Bialek said about the incident in the car.
“He also pushed my head toward his crotch,” she said.
Herman Cain says that he is going to come out and address the allegations from the 4th sexual harassment accuser.
In the midst of a barrage sexual harassment allegations, including a fourth accuser speaking out, Herman Cain made an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on ABC.
Kimmel devoted much of his opening monologue Monday to the allegations made by Sharon Bialek, who is the latest woman to accuse Cain of sexual harassment during his tenure at the National Restaurant Association, and the first woman to come forward publicly in a press conference.
It appears now that a fifth accuser has come forward.
Donna Donella, 40, of Arlington, said the USAID paid Cain to deliver a speech to businessmen and women in Egypt in 2002, during which an Egyptian businesswoman in her 30s asked Cain a question.
“And after the seminar was over,” Donella told The Washington Examiner, “Cain came over to me and a colleague and said, ‘Could you put me in touch with that lovely young lady who asked the question, so I can give her a more thorough answer over dinner?’”
I have to agree with Legal Insurrection and the Lonely Conservative, even if none of the allegations have any merit, this can’t be good for Herman Cain. The full court press is on and it appears that it will not stop until Cain is destroyed.
I would say this to all the MSM sharks circling in the bloody water, where were you with this vigor when former President Bill Clinton was being accused of sexual harassment and rape? Hmm? Yup, no liberal MSM bias here.

Smokin Joe Frazier Dies at age 67 following Battle with Liver Cancer
Boxing legend Smokin’ Joe passes away at the age of 67 … farewell to a real boxing champion and a warrior of days gone by … Rest in Peace Champ.
Sadly, one of the giants of boxing has died … Smoking Joe Frazier has passed away at the age of 67 after his battle with liver cancer. The world had learned over the weekend that Frazier was in failing health and had entered hospice care. The former heavy weight boxing champion passed away at a Philadelphia area hospice according to his family. Joe Frazier was a part of the golden age of heavy weight boxing with epic battles against Muhammad Ali.
Known for his famous “Thrilla in Manila” fight in 1975 against Muhammad Ali, whom he fought three times, “Smokin’ Joe” Frazier is an inductee of both the International Boxing Hall of Fame and the World Boxing Hall of Fame.
In all, Frazier – at 5’11½ and 205 lbs., considered small for a heavywieght – won 32 fights: 27 by knockouts, losing four times (twice to Ali and also to George Foreman). Another fight ended in a draw.
More from the NY Times:
Known as Smokin’ Joe, Frazier stalked his opponents around the ring with a crouching, relentless attack — his head low and bobbing, his broad, powerful shoulders hunched — as he bore down on them with an onslaught of withering jabs and crushing body blows, setting them up for his devastating left hook.
It was an overpowering modus operandi that led to versions of the heavyweight crown from 1968 to 1973. Frazier won 32 fights in all, 27 by knockouts, losing four times — twice to Ali in furious bouts and twice to George Foreman. He also recorded one draw.
Frazier will always be known and compared to Ali for their epic three boxing battles and their contrasting styles and war of words. However, Ali always had respect for Smokin’ Joe. Ali’s comment regarding the passing of Joe Frazier, “I will always remember Joe with respect and admiration.” My sympathy goes out to his family and loved ones.”
