Susan Sarandon Calls Pope Benedict a ‘Nazi’ and ESPN Does Not Fire Her Like Hank Williams Jr.

Oh the hypocrisy and double standard of the LEFT and the MSM …

It is just another case of the MSM double standard. Far Leftist, Hollywood darling Susan Sarandon called Pope Benedict XVI a Nazi and is praised by moonbats world wide. However, when it came to Hank Williams Jr. making an analogy and not actually calling President Obama or House Speaker John Boehner while on Fox & Friends, Williams was fired from his gig with ESPN’s Monday Night Football intro … “ARE YOU READY FOR SOME DOUBLE STANDARDS!”

Susan Sarandon called Pope Benedict XVI a ‘Nazi’ last weekend while discussing Catholic teaching on the death penalty.

Those are harsh words from the Catholic girl who played a well known nun, Sr. Helen Prejean, in Dead Man Walking, a popular 1995 film depicting Prejean’s anti-death penalty ministry and activism.

During an event at the Hamptons Film Festival, Sarandon said she had sent a copy of the book “Dead Man Walking” in hopes that the late Pope John Paul II would elevate the issue of the death penalty in church teaching. According to reports, Sarandon said she sent the book to “The last [pope]. Not this Nazi one we have now.”

Of course Hank Williams Jr’s famous “All my rowdy friends are here on Monday Night was discontinued by ESPN and MNF for his remarks, what are the odds that Susan Sarandon will get a movie deal after hers? So far there is no truth to the rumor that Susan Sarandon will be cutting a demo tape for the new intro to MNF.

Her evidence is that Pope Benedict XVI joined the Hitler youth. Every German Kid had to join the Hitler youth. Or their family would be sent to the gas chambers or punished. He later ran away.

Susan Sarandon has made herself GOD. I doubt the cardinals would elect a Nazi. Shame on you Susan! Your a attention whore.

i always thought she was a hot old bag but this made her completely ugly. the hollywood commies think they are above everybody else. most of them couldn’t hit a bull in the ass with a bass fiddle.

No wonder Tim Robbins left her ass—she really is delusional.

Susan! Get over yourself. Please. We are.

Susan showed a lot of talent early in her career.

Somewhere along the way she embraced the left-wing socialist agenda and has lost her way. I don’t think she will ever change.

#1 – ‘Her evidence is that Pope Benedict XVI joined the Hitler youth’.

I’d say that’s pretty good evidence. Not to hard to comprehend.

There’s no double standard at all. She is under fire from all corners. The Catholic League condemned her remarks and the Anti-Defamation League called on her to apologize. She’s not currently employed by ESPN, so they can’t fire her.

I could understand being outraged by her comments, but I’m still looking for “the hypocrisy and double standard of the Left and MSM.”

SM: Duse, the ESPN comment was sarcasm to make a point. Let’s not be so literal and get the humor. ;-)

You don’t get the hypocrisy? Really? The LEFT and the MSM love her. Did you hear any outrage reported from the MSM? Of course not. Once again its a war on Christianity and that makes it ok. Let’s hear Susan make a comment regarding a Muslim leader and how they treat woman. Oh that’s right, Susan like her head.

and you would doubt that the cardinals would choose a nazi?
Did you take a close look at the Roman Catholic church?

#7: some old farts are more concerned about their own hides than about humanity. sounds like the democrat party as a whole. this describes them to a t.

      Dolph,
“In 1936, it became all but compulsory to join the Hitler Youth. Youths could avoid doing any active service if they paid their subscription but this became all but impossible after 1939.”

Thats the good thing about the Roman Catholic church

      you can choose:

Nazi, Pedophile, mass-murders, homofobic (comming from old farts dressed in dresses), robbery, the list goes on and on.

SM: Dolf, enough, the Roman Catholic church has done many good things as well that you seem to fail to realize. I am sure we could go thru many orgs and find the ills of their ways. I have more than condemned the actions of the Church and their dealing with pedo priests.
